NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

I'm working on the Target $100 challenge. What is the connection with the 2 Starbucks purchases and 2 Kind bars (I don't go to Starbucks)?

What triggered the bonus? Is it a circle bonuses because I dont see that? I just got a reward for placing two 360 delivery orders. They gave me a years worth of 360 for free so I jumped on it. I also got another $10 bonus for buying three household items that I needed anyways. This thread is great 😆

One of the Target Circle bonuses in the $100 Challenge is to make 2 purchases at Starbucks in Target and get a $10 Reward. It should be auto applied if you have Target Circle 360. (Make sure to show your Target Rewards number at purchase for it to get credited.)

Oh yeah I got that one too! I havent done the in person shopping yet, so I didnt realize kind bars counted towards it, but good discovery!

The kind bars count as long as they are sold at the Starbucks. Anything sold at the Starbucks should count; I just bought the kind bars since I figured they were the cheapest thing. Again, you must purchase them in 2 separate transactions and show your Target rewards number each time to fulfill the bonus.

They have sold out in the past, different years have shown different results I believe last year seemed to last the longest though that's just my opinion.

Your summary is correct you can either use your MB and have things charged to the room and then later visit the front desk to pay the charges off with the gift card. Or you can use the giftcard directly at a point of sale and bypass having to settle up at the front desk later. If you save the gift card info on your phone you can use it for mobile orders by manually entering the number and pin at checkout.

Also if you purchase a digital gift card from the Disney store those can be added directly to the digital wallet on your phone and you can use the Disney gift card website to combine cards onto that up to the maximum of $1000. This gives you a digital bar code that you can have scanned at the register so that you don't have to carry around a physical card, or you can copy the card info off of this in order to place mobile orders.

Any method works and I used all three in a recent August trip to WDW, you don't actually have to stop at the front desk daily in order to settle the room charges. And even if you miss one before it has been processed they will process a charge back for you so that you can still use your GC instead.

How fast do these sell out?? I just realized I have an appointment from 9:20 EST on 10/7. Am I crazy to try to be ordering gift cards from my doctor's office?? 🤣 Or will I be OK getting them around 11 am?

You're correct when you're talking about purchases. However, bonuses like this credit down the road, much later. I'm looking at the lingo on this and it says that "Pass qualifying points will be posted to your Southwest Rapid Rewards account within 6-8 weeks after the Promotion Period ends on 12/31/2025"

To me that indicates that the points will be on the account in February-ish of 2026, thus counting towards earning the following year CP (and yeah, I guess the rest of 2026 if you didn't already have it). I presently have 2025 CP and I have yet to earn 2026 CP. It's going to be close!! I was hoping for these bonus points for this year, but alas.
I didn't get the email but it sounds like the same sort of thing they do with chase .com/mybonus and it would show up on the next statement.

You can always grab a drink/hotdog from sam's/costco/bj's for less than $2 and wait to for the purchase to post and then click the little triangle to see how many points were earned on that purchase.

Yeah, that’s me. When BoA offered the double reward for the first year in the 3% category you choose, I added a third Customized Cash Rewards card. With the relationship bonus, I am earning 8.25% on up to $2500 of online purchases each quarter.

My other two CCR cards earn a measly 5.25%. 😂
I have been thinking of moving $$ to BOA to make this possible. It is certainly something I have been pondering. I heard it might be possible to get bonus points with Alaska too which has me even more intrigued so I can use that to book AA Flights.

Some years it is right away and others they have more.

I believe more people had success last year do the limit of 4 which wasn't enforced as much.

Do you have a smartphone that you could order from the waiting room?

Ugh, I've been wanting to open a SW card (business card with a current 120,000 bonus) but keep worrying about the timing of all the purchases in order to earn the CP for 2026-2027 instead of earning it for 2025-2026. I suppose I should just do it, and if I mess it up, not worry about it too much.

Quick comment for you - I see you mentioned that you have a 2025 CP, and are earning it again for 2026. Aren't they good for two years, or is your 2025 CP a promo CP that has a shorter life span?

The only way you would mess up would be if ALL $10K in spend hit in your December statement which is doubtful at this point. You can always request your statement date to be changed so that if you have a $10K purchase that it would hit on your January statement and or to maximize holiday spending.

I did it by transferring a passive ETF to Merrill. No fees. No change to overall portfolio. Easy peasy.

I was able to get a Sam’s membership basically for free through Swagbucks. I don’t know if they’re still doing it or not but if you click through their link you could get the $15 membership and get 100% of that back in the form of Swagbucks. I signed up Tuesday or Wednesday and I already have the 1500 sb pending in my account. It’s been probably at least four years since I’ve had a membership.
Thanks so much for this! It worked for me. Clicked through SB on Saturday the 1500 is now pending on my account. Really appreciate the tip!

If you're going to act, you should do it ASAP. My referral link that I EM my mom last week still has the 120k but the one I generated on Chase today is an 80k bonus. I'm assuming that means the public deal will be going away very soon.

Regarding your question to the other poster about CPs, they aren't good for two years. They're good for the balance of the year you earn it and then the full following year. Most of us try to earn them right at the beginning of the year to get, say 23 months use out of them. Folks who hit their CP points in January 2026 are earning a 2027 CP which is good for the rest of 2026 and all of 2027.

So, if PP had a CP that they earned in 2024, it was good for the rest of 2024 and all of 2025. If they want a 2026 CP that's effective 1/1/26, they need to hit that 135k this year and the CP will have been earned for 2026. Alternatively, they can start trying to churn the 135k in 2026 to earn a 2027 CP that's good from whenever they earn it in 2026 through 2027. If they're close on miles for 2025, they may be trying to just eek out a few more to have a 2026 CP rather than trying to start from 0 to earn a 2027 CP that's also valid once it activates in 2026.

For our family, we never try to get back to back years. We earned 2026 CPs in early 2025 so we had about two years of use on that chunk of apps/spend. If we do it again, we'd be trying to earn 2028 CPS early in 2027 to get nearly 2 years out of it again. Doing it every other year like that means you can't use it in January of the off year, but you only have to hit the 135k every other year. If you want the CPs to be contiguous, you have to hit the 135k every year.

Just so I’m sure, what is the best way to do the Sam’s deal? Is there a certain card to use?

If you’re talking about buying the gift cards at Sam’s, don’t use your Sam’s credit card. If you won’t get any points in my experience, others have reported they do get them, but I never have.
