NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

OK, I did a little more digging, and made a "test" purchase on our Chase Freedom Flex of a (slightly) discounted $10 Regal movies gift card, through the Sam's Travel Portal. I wanted to see how it would code, and whether Chase would honor the Sam's Travel Portal (which also sells discounted Disney tix, Universal tix, and Disney party tix) as part of this quarter's "live entertainment" 5% cashback category.

I am happy to say, IT DID! :stitch: My purchase transacted at 5% cashback. Which means that along with all other various ways we can stack cashback via DGCs, this should also work to stack certain discounted ticket retailers with this specific cashback category on eligible cashback cards. Costco and BJs have similar portals and I suspect it might work there as well.

YMMV of course - I would always do a very small test purchase first - but this will probably be how we purchase our MVMCP tix unless there is a substantial enough AP discount on our dates (unlikely given they are in December).
Great news and thanks for providing a DP for us with that site

In case you missed it Q3 Discover 5% categories are gas/EV charging stations and utilities.

We will spend nowhere near $1500 In gasoline during that time so I switched the autopay for our electric service to Discover temporarily. I believe cable, internet, and mobile service are included so I switched autopay for internet and mobile as well.

Discover is one of our legacy cards so we keep it and use it only for 5% categories.

For those of us who live in the Northeast, Shoprite has $15 off your next shopping order when purchasing any gift card $100+ (other than the usual exclusions of Shoprite and Visa/Mastercard/Financials) starting next week (so starting Friday 7/11 for Shoprite's in Maryland and starting Sunday 7/13 for Shoprite's in other states).
This brought back memories. We were a ShopRite family for many years when we lived in New Jersey. Miss those days!

You might be able to prepay some of these things. Unfortunately I have existing cards that give me the 5% on all of the categories that Chase and Discover are offering this quarter but am using Chase instead as CUR are more valuable to me than straight cash back.

Good point. Towards the end of September I will prepay to make sure I use the entire $1500.

It was mentioned previously not sure how far back though so this is a good reminder for those that were lucky enough to get it.

You shouldn’t have any issues with gift cards in store. I believe online is processed through samsclub.com and not a third party so it should work fine as well.
Yes, I would think the same. Sam's doesn't forward you to a third party.

Good tip - now I have to see if Coned will let me autopay on a CC without a fee ...

This may have already been discussed, but didn’t see in the last few pages. I have a 5% back at Sam’s club on my Chase cards (up to $12). Has anyone used this on Disney gift cards? Any issues?
I first brought up that Chase offer here! And it did end up working!

Original post:
Just checked my Chase offers and saw a Sam's Club offer for 5% off up to $12 maximum.
And it expires on 6/30. Online only.
Never seen an offer appear and expire so soon.

I ordered two $200 DGC's for $190 each.
Thus, $380 - $12 = 8% savings.
And also the points I earn with my Disa Visa that I can redeem later on.

So I posted a week and a half ago about losing my $500 DGC on the first day of my trip...

So I go to the Poly front desk last night to pay for all my room charges with other GCs I bought and I get to talking with the CM and somehow I mention losing my $500 GC. She goes "Was it your wife I spoke to today?!" I said no...why...did someone ELSE lose a $500 gift card?? And she said YES!

Look, not that it made me feel better or glad or anything, I feel bad for whoever it was that lost their card but...well...maybe it felt just a little comforting to have company aboard the SS DOH! lol

Just checked my BJ's Wholesale Club account this morning and I was able to clip a coupon for $10 off a $100 purchase. It is automatically applying to Disney Gift Cards as long as the purchase total for the GC's is over $100.

Hope other people with a BJ's account get this coupon! :)

I got $20 off $250

Thanks for posting. I do have it too! I guess a $100 and $25 is the best option. Hmmm.

I got nothing, I must shop there too often

I tried to do some quick figuring and I think 2 of the $50 GC's and 1 of the $25 GC's saves between 10-11%.

I'm waiting for some of our group to decide if they want to do the Christmas Party at MK before I purchase more gift cards...if we don't do the party, we really don't need the gift cards

Yes, I select the online category for the entire year. Set and forget.

Also, right now there is a promo running; 6% cash back is available for the first year.
Hi - rare poster here! I happened to see this, and although I have zero need for a CC (I don’t carry balances so have far more than I need) this BoA offer intrigued me - I have 3 quick wdw trips booked over the next 9 months and am a fan of applying DGC to resort stays beforehand, especially when AP/BB discounts are lackluster. Yadda yadda, I have one of these cards en route. There is also a 200 cash back reward if you spend 1k in 90 days - not a problem, since the first thing I’m doing is buying 2x500 dgc! I’m still not quite clear on how the % back will work, though. If I want to max cash back on dgc, I assume I choose “online shopping” for my customized cash back (6% for the first year, then 3%), and then if I’m buying dgc from sams, I get an extra 2% back because of the warehouse store thing? Many thanks!
