NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

FYI - Buy only what you can burn!

I reported awhile ago Kroger's new stance on transferring fuel points, ONLY once per year. We transferred our points at the end of the month twice; June and July. I still had 2,000 points and Kroger refused to budge. DH called at different times speaking to different reps and ALL refused. During the last call, CS automatically transferred DH to a manager, even though DH never asked to speak to one. The manager said it's a system blockage. YMMV!
I'm not upset about losing points, it happens and we were warned. I'm upset about Kroger Price Gouging and admitting to it so proudly.

Disgusting Scum!!!

Kroger Executives ADMITS Company Gouged Prices Above Inflation
Newsweek August 28, 2024

I stopped shopping at Kroger a long time ago due to higher prices. I could find the same item, same brand way cheaper at Meijer and/or different brands (high quality items) at local mom & pop shops. And just like any grocery store, you need to keep an eye on your receipt. The article above states Kroger increased prices on Eggs & Milk - Um, they increased prices on a lot more than those two items. Such scumbags! The last sentence of the article holds true:

“Customers aren’t dumb,” Ryan said. “I’ve seen loyal shoppers jump ship as soon as they feel ripped off. Once the trust is gone, it’s hard to win them back. Yep, sure is! ::yes::

Thank you for the reminder. I have certainly taken advantage of transferring them to the next month after learning I could do that from you.

I still have 2k in August so I guess I will just try and use those up.

Like you I find Meijer much cheaper and have made that my go to store. Unfortunately there are still a few items I have to go to Kroger though.

I think I might be losing my mind… I have a Chase offer for 10% off OfficeDepot (up to $11) and think I remember ordering DGCs that way a few months back (when the amount was like $45 and everyone was trying to figure out the best way to order to maximize that but in only one shipment). I can’t find any conversations when I search though, because of the thread change I guess, I don’t have any emails or have it listed in my DGC spreadsheet, and “office” doesn’t return any results when I search my CC statements (and the redeemed Chase offers only go 90 days back). Did I make all of that up?? I got confused when OfficeDepot’s DGC page changed to giftcardmall . com and want to make sure it will work before I buy anything.

ETA: it was HOME Depot 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Was coming here to say normally it's always in store w/ Office Depot.

Retail me not, groupon, & coupon cabin all used to have 10% off viator.

I've tried for about a week hoping one would work, nope!
What a bummer if that deal is long gone.

If you figure something out. Let me know!
@Princess2R I finally gave up trying to get a coupon code with Viator. I am just going to use DGC's I have purchased at a discount to purchase our tickets. Maybe a new code will show up before you need to make your purchase.

I have had the best luck getting a Viator 15% off code to generate using Firefox Private mode, using the link from the first page. The other option is to go through TripAdvisor instead (same vendor) but they often have a 12% off coupon when you use their app, code is RMNAPP12, if you’re not using their app the website code is RMN10, but its only 10% off.

Those 10% and 12% codes sadly don't work anymore!

Groupon, coupon cabin, and retail me not used to have 10% off trip advisor tickets or 12% when you used the app.
I wish I purchased a few months ago when the codes worked. now none of the codes work for trip advisor or viator For Disney tickets

The promo code you applied is invalid, has expired, or cannot be used for the selected activity

Apple Pay is a payment wallet on your iPhone, it allows you to link most credit cards to your iPhone or other Apple devices (such as an iPad).

You can pay in person using your phone at any location that supports "Tap to Pay" or online some websites support Apple Pay when you checkout using your phone (or tablet).

This is an AMEX Offer, meaning you need to have the actual Apple Pay AMEX offer available for your American Express card and once you see it, you can click "Add" to add the offer to your card.

Once the offer is added, you can go to any store that supports "Tap to Pay" like Target for example and buy a $50 Disney Gift Card, put your phone up to the credit card terminal, choose the card you want to pay with (AMEX in this case) and double click the power button to enable Apple Pay while keeping the phone touching the credit card terminal.

The online option would be similar but as you checkout you should see an Apple Pay option and you'd get the same prompt to choose a card and double click the power button to pay.
Does anyone know if the AMEX offer has worked for gift cards at Target? I would like to use my AMEX to buy (3) $50 gift cards in individual transactions from Target (online) and I am wondering if it will actually credit. The 10% off is better than the 5% through Target....but only if it works. The T&C's of the offer say that it excludes gift cards...but we all know that YMMV. I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully redeemed this offer on gift cards.

I’m curious if anyone here knows how an annual pass renewal codes on your credit card? With Chase Freedom’s current 5% back on “Select Live Entertainment” I’m wondering if I should go that route and save my remaining Disney gidt card balance for something else.

I believe it is entertainment but I am usually getting more than 5% back on DGC so I would use those unless you needed the CUR for a trip soon.

You could also just go to a gas station and pick up some DGC that would get the 5% on the Freedom’s Gas category and then use those for the AP. This way you know for sure that you are getting a minimum of 5%.

I can’t say for certainty since I havent boughten an AP but I think it’s really things like concerts, comedy shows. I bought tickets to a very large established place where I live that has museums, carnivals etc. it did not qualify for the 5%
