I was just informed on late Friday afternoon that I received a job at Disney!!! :cool1: Anyone allowed to tell me what the benefits will be? I apologize in advance if I'm not supposed to ask in this forum!!

Thanks!

Kim,

There's a forum here for Cast Members only, and I'm sure you can get lots of good information there from your new teammates. You can email doc@wdwinfo.com for access to that forum.

Congrats on the great news!

WOW! What luck! Do you mind my asking what your new job will be?

DH's cousin is a cast member at one of the restaurants there and LOVES her job! But I don't know any details of benefits package.

I'll be assisting in the office. Not sure of duties/benefits, etc yet as I meet with the office manager on Tuesday. I'm just so anxious and excited!! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

I just wondered if anyone was allowed to mention what the benefits are generally? I have 4 kids under 12 and I think it's going to be a terrific opportunity for us.

Blessings to all!!

It varies on rank, amount of time you've been there, employment status, etc. And I don't think CMs are really allowed to say much, since it varies.

I'm sure you'll get the "scoop" on Tuesday! =) Congrats!

You received a job offer on Friday and they did not tell you the benifits? Have you already accepted the offer? It sounds like you did. For future referance you should always discuss benifits before you accept a job offer.

Good wishes on the new job, Kim. :goodvibes

I know they have full medical and dental benefits but I don't know the amount that they take out of your check for it. The perks are that you can get a maingate pass which gets you, your spouse, and up to 3 guests in WDW up to 12 times a year. Anytime that you want to go by yourself you can just use your I.D. to get in. I think they have a waiting period of 90 days for you to get the maingate though.
Your discount will vary depending on how long you work there. It will go up the longer you are there. I think it starts at 10 percent. You will also have access to sales that the public will not be able to go to. There you can find discontinued merchandise extremely cheap (like toys for .25-1.00 that were originally around 20.00 in the park and tshirts for 1.00-2.00). Those sales are really great. At certain times of the year, you can take guests into those sales. I have been to many of those sales and always walk out with 10 or more bags and pay less than 100.00 for everything.
I hope that helps. I actually work at Universal seasonally and love it, I wouldn't change working there for anything, but my FIL works at Disney and this is where I got the information from.
