Does anyone know if we order the new DVD on the website, will it be for 2009? I have the 2008 one, so I want to make sure if i order it, it will be for 2009.

I just ordered one, and it's for 2008. (trying to get on a list for a code!)

They will not ship the 2009 videos until December or late November.

SGB - While I know that codes are totally random, I have always had luck receiving one when creating a new account on the WDW Official site.

Try in November or December to order a 2009 WDW/DL DVD.

Right now it's still the Year of a Million Dreams.
So at least WDW has to decide what they want the theme to be in 2009 and then create the new 2009 DVD.

You may have to wait till January 2009 to get the 2009 WDW/DL DVD.

Good Luck and May Magical Wishes always fall upon your family:wizard:

Yay! :yay: I just received my 2009 DVD on Saturday. We watched it last night. My DH said, "I wish we could just live there." :) My DS totally agreed.

Is the new DVD much different than the 2008? I didn't care for it too much. I wish they'd bring back Dave and Luke!

No a lot of the same footage. I was hoping it would elaborate on the new celebration theme but it did not really. Basically the same DVD with some minor changes.

Very blah DVD and has a tendency to induce eye-rolling...and I'm usually such a softie when it comes to Disney World. I don't know if there's new footage or not, but I got more useful information out of the shows that were on the Travel Channel last week.
If this DVD is supposed to get people to want to come to Disney World, sort of push their decision in the right direction, I imagine it would be a huge failure.
Thankfully I've been so I know I'll enjoy it!

Anyone notice the new DVD ignores Space Mountain??? Space and CoP aren't on the enclosed maps either:scared1: The buildings are there... but no #s and they aren't listed under the attractions.... just like the Wonders of life pavillion on the Epcot map

I agree:thumbsup2 . Marketing-wise, I think it would be a complete failure, except we're already going. The DVD doesn't make me want to go (and in the past, it has). This is their chance for a 1-hour commercial, basically, plus a chance to help people plan their vacations and I think this DVD doesn't do either very well.

I'm still glad I got it, but it's not the kind of thing I could watch again and again.
