Hi Guys

I am trying to play catch up here since I haven't been on in so long and we are officially booked!

From what I'm reading on here, not all restaurants/QS are open. How do I find out which ones are? Mostly concerned about QS at the parks

Do I have to use mobile ordering? If not, is it beneficial to do so?

I am newly vegan and worried about not being able to make certain requests through mobile that I can get through talking to a person first!

Are there places to sit after I've gotten my QS food?

Thank you in advance! You guys are so helpful!

1. What I did during my planning (just got back yesterday) was search for the restaurant on the desktop MDX or app. If it comes up with the name followed by "temporary unavailable", then it isn't currently open. Most main QS ones are open, but quite a few are not, so definitely search beforehand if you have a specific one in mind.

2. Yes, I would definitely get used to mobile ordering as just about all food/beverage places require your order be ready before even coming inside. There may be a few exceptions (Aloha Isle, Sleepy Hollow; prob most places without indoor seating), but for any true sit-down QS with an inside, you will have to mobile order before being allowed in. I think it's beneficial for sure. You can order something at Docking Bay 7 from Sunset Boulevard, and simply tap "I'm Here" when you make it over there.

3. They do allow for some minor modifications that I saw (no sauce, extra cheese, flavor of dole whip, no dressing, etc), but if you need major modifications, I would speak to the CM at the front of the restaurant; I'm sure they can accommodate

4. Yes, all QS places I went to all had places to sit, either inside or outside, or both

As I understand it, if you have food allergies you are allowed in if you are more comfortable with speaking with someone and/or have an allergy not listed as an option ("nightshades" is one I see people mention a lot that is not on the common allergy lists). Or you're eating at a resort QS which doesn't have the allergy menu option on their mobile menu.

I'd guess you could ask to speak with someone due to being vegan...though you might also be directed to the plant-based menu. But it's worth asking. I'd definitely be honest and say you're vegan rather than say you have a food allergy. (Unless you have that rare thing where you're actually allergic to meat.)

Thank you so much! I wasn't vegan last time I was there so I have no clue what I'm doing. I will ask for the plant based menu!

The plant-based is usually on the regular menu under "plant based". Seems to be on all the mobile order ones. I don't know if it includes fake cheese and such, so that might be worth looking into - though "plant based" to me implies nothing non-plant based.
