Hi All,

I have been lurking for quite some time now and feel I know you all. I have finally plucked up the courage and registered.

Our Daughter is having a Wishes Wedding on 22nd of September 2008.

We have 34 close Family and Friends coming over with us....all staying in Disney Resorts..... To help with costs we chose to hold the wedding during Free dining weeks, as it costs a great deal of money to come over from the UK...So this will help.

The planning has been in progress for over 6 months now and the contract went back a couple of months ago. The planning has been a lot easier than I thought, as we are from the UK but Disney Wedding folks have been fantastic. We were really lucky with first Joe as Coordinator and then Carol as Planner.

We have been to Disney 7 times in all (first time 1995) The last time we were there we had an ADR at The Grand Foridian Cafe. We arrived early and were having a look round the GF suddenly our DD and her DF announced that they wanted to get married there....pointing at the WP......and they wanted me to plan it. Once I had got over the shock I was thrilled, so when we got home I set about finding everything to do with Disney Weddings.

I very soon stumbled upon these boards and read just about everything from PJ's to Trip Reports. I would Just like to thank everyone of you for your help over the past few months....

The Reception is going to be split in to two like all weddings in the UK ....first the Diiner and then a Dance Party with DJ following a Wishes Buffet.

Here's what we have planned.

Ceremony .............Wedding Pavilion.....2:30

Cocktail Hour........ GF Summerhouse......3:30-4:30

Reception............St Augustine Suite GF....4:30-6:30

Wishes Buffet.....Sago Cay GF Marina......8:30- 9:30

Dance Party....St Augustine Suite GF......9:30-1:30am.

As a MOB also (DD got married 1/4/08 at WP) I can tell you what a wonderful time you will all have......enjoy every minute....it goes by so quickly on the day of the ceremony......

It sounds as though you and your daughter are close and that makes it extra-special.....everything will be BEAUTIFUL.
