New Details Released for Disney Adventure

… I'm sure if there were any plans to have a casino it would not be signposted and I imagine it would be ti ked away on a lower deck with absolutely no other spaces around it. Almost like a speakeasy. It won't be marketed ad part of the package - and it certainly won't be marketed to any western audiences. If the ship does leave Asia in 5 years, they can close it off and pretend it never existed.
Can we start this rumor? 🤭

I'm so excited about this one, when do you think they will announce the dates?

I have come back from Singapore last week and it's an amazing place full of things to do we spent one week and we didn't do everything so I can definitely see how you could do a one week in Singapore together with a 4 nights cruise and be totally content.

The ship will hopefully set sail in 2025, so sailings should be released this year, probably after the summer.

I’m very excited too, I think the staterooms look great (a lot better than the Wish)! I can’t wait until the full release.

Do you think it will sail during the months of Jun-Jul- Aug or Nov-Oct - Dec ? Or all year round?

The main purpose of Disney Adventure is to attract new guests in Asia to their first Disney cruise just like what Wonder does in Aus/NZ (those sailings are called magic at sea). So there will be only short sailings to let more people experience the ship and Disney magic. Also short sailings make more money for Disney than longer sailings.
Yeah I agree. For me, this ship will be the first and only chance so far to experience DCL. We have Shanghai Disneyland and I'm grateful, but DCL is something else. But I'm not gonna fly half the world to US just to be on the sea for several days...
For the disney fans in southeast asian countries, considering the lack of disneylands (SDL, Tokyo Disneyland and HK Disneyland are far way and their official language is not English) I'd imagine this cruiseline may be the best way for them to have a regular vacation in the Disney bubble. The only question is how big the local fanbase would be? I guess this is also what Disney want to figure out?
Curious to know the price. Current thought: The decoration and activities looks a bit too conventional... Especially comparing to Disney Destiny...
Also, re destinations, I don't want to visit any other ports. You can go to Phuket or Vietnam by yourself off board later and will be much cheaper. Please somehow involve Aulani!!!!It's the only destination I'm really really interested.

I don’t think you will be getting Aulani. Unless there is a route from the shipyard to Singapore that travels through the Panama Canal, stops at Honolulu, and then into the new home port.

With the Suez Canal problems causing rerouting around Africa, this could be a possibility. Hmm…

The only way to “skip” those ports is to stay on the ship when it docks there. I think the expectation is that the cruises will be in the shorter side - under 7 days.

I don’t know the rules for cruising in Asia. In the USA, it is not allowed to deviate from the stated origination and disembarkation ports. Cruise ships cannot be used as essentially a means of transport between two US cities. European cruiselines do pick up and drop off guests in multiple ports during a cruise.

Hawaii is a VERY long way from Singapore. As in, your cruise will be one-way, in the ballpark of a couple of weeks with almost non-stop sea days to be able to do it. You literally just mentioned the distance between the Asian parks, they have nothing on the distance to Aulani.
The other thing is, Aulani is a resort first and foremost. It's not a theme park, it's not an attraction, people have paid a lot of money to stay there. You can't suddenly have thousands more people show up for the day without having a HUGE impact on the resort and the guests actually paying to stay there. And when the resort amenities are very strictly reserved for guests, what are you actually wanting to do when you're there? There's a beach (which again, can't handle thousands of extra people), a couple of shops and a handful of restaurants. You can't use the pools, the spa, meet characters or take part in resort-organised activities - that simply wouldn't be fair to the guests that have paid for that exclusivity.
I mean this in the nicest possible way, especially since you aren't the first to mention including Aulani as a cruise stop, but you need to think about the actual feasibility and not base it purely on "I want this". If you want to go, then pay for a flight to Hawaii and pay to stay at Aulani.

I'm super confused about first sail date for the public. It says it's coming 2025 but it's already more than halfway through 2024 and still no dates released or when we can reserve.
Do you think we can start booking in 2025 but the ship itself won't sail until 2026?

The Disney Destiny is sailing in November 2025 and booking will open on September 6, 2024. So it is possible the Adventure booking dates will be announced within a few weeks. Of course, it is also possible that the launch will be delayed but recent announcement have still said 2025.

Oh I understand, thank you. I didn't know the Destiny was coming out so soon as well. So it's possible the Adventure will sail late 2025? That would be interesting.
