The state charges a room tax that applies to timeshares by design. There are other areas/counties where this happens as well. In all cases that I know of, it gets passed on to the guest who stays. My guess is this will happen for DL, they'd be crazy not to. They will get more taxes ultimately even with the rebate. It only rebates part of the taxes and reduces what extra they'd get based on the new project. I'd bet the mayor votes against it but cooler heads will prevail.you might be right but Aulani dvc charges the a state room tax (or maybe it is some other tax)
