New December Discounts

Is it strange that Disney is dropping new discounts for a time of year that's supposed to be very crowded?

They used to always do early December discounts, I have gone a few times the first week and a half in December.

Sadly, this year the discounts don't start until the 12th because the first couple of weeks are pretty booked up.

Kind of makes me wonder how many people are going to drop their November plans and move to to fit in these Holiday dates.
