I was just watching A-channel news (Barrie) tonight and they are having a report about disney on the 6:00 news Monday, on ch.219 (expressvu) and said they will have a cdn deal to report. Fingers crossed!:worship: :worship:

I wonder what THAT's all about.. Very interesting.

It seems like they need to release some AP rates as well. Maybe Monday is the day for the new codes????

I hope so! We want to go for New Years! We went to Universal this year and it just wasn't the same.:sad2:

A-Channel in Ottawa apparently mentioned they were going to discuss Disney next week, however no mention of a "promo" but instead about Disney "contests" for Canadians.

I'm SOOOOOO hoping it's a discount :cool1:

If the A Channel media have a line on a discount, I'm dying to know how... I've been searching the newswires and I'm not finding anything of the sort ;o(

There's nothing on A-Channel Barrie's website, but Ottawa's has the contest details to win a trip to WDW...

Took DS to gymnastics this morning, and the general concensus is the Monday feature is about the Disney contest. None of the parents got the impression it was going to be a package deal, since Disney and A-Channel are still pushing "even if you don't win" a trip is almost at par.

So, I'm patiently waiting to see what happens. Thanks tone.def for watching the wire, I'm happy to hear someone else got the same impression as I...

A-Channel morning (in Ottawa) is broadcasting live from WDW on Monday as well!

According to A-Channel in Ottawa, no new "promo" but they are going to be talking about YOAMD and entering the WDW Vacation Contest:

I was on the Disney World Canada website this morning and I saw this offer for free park hopper and water parks ticket upgrade on stays most nights between March 30 and May 21, 2008 if you get a package.

It is an awesome deal if you can take advantage of it. We did last year. :thumbsup2

If you can take advantage of the free park hoppers/water parks option, book soon. This offer was released into the US the week before last, and I know in talking with a couple Disney Travel CM's last week, the availability at the resorts is very limited. Thanks to part of the varying March/Spring Breaks this year.

I called this morning and got my ticket upgrade that is on the disney.ca website. Our family of 4 is saving $401!!! So excited!

I also called and changed from a room only (with CAA discount) to a the pkg and it's saving us a bit too! :cool1:

I'm obviously not a veteran park run-around-er or else I wouldn't be asking this question... but if you are staying 5 nights and have a 6 day park hopper, when on earth would you find time to visit the waterparks up to 6 times?! LOL!!

I was pricing it out as a test - we're not going until August, so it doesn't help us - and it seemed as though only the tickets were affected by the discount, not rooms.

Since Hoppers are a set fee (about $48 tax incl.) - how did your family of 4 save $400.

When I priced out identical offers online - one via the Canadian Disney website that implemented the offer, and one on the regular reservation site without the offer and selecting only standard base tickets, the price came out to be identical. The test dates were April 10-15, standard room at POP, family of 4 (both kids in the 3-9 age range). As far as I could tell, there was no discount on the room, so - at best - the offer would save a family of four just under $200.

IGNORE THAT!

Sorry, I was just adding HOPPER to the ticket price - adding BOTH Hopper and Water Parks adds about $100 to each base ticket - so of course your family of four would save about $400.

Slap me with a wet noodle at your leisure!

On CHCH this morning they annouced from Disney that Westjet has a special where the parents fly free plus free hopper and water parks upgrade. I have looked on the Westjet website but have found nothing. :confused3

the report just toured Cinderella's castle room and told about the park ticket deal that is advertised on disney.ca.
Thanks to disboards, this is old news.
