Mainstreet DL is famous for having the smell of peppermint when they are making candy canes and chocolate when fudge is being made. I guess DCA finally got their own aroma. The last couple of trips when I by the Golden Gate bridge on the entry street the smell of burnt coffee is quite strong. Since there aren't any food outlets around, I have to assume that this is intentional (though why is a mystery :confused3 ).

It has been that way since the beginning. :crazy2: Sometimes it's stronger than others. Yuck! The coffee place is just around the corner to the right.

They are roasting coffee there on site at DCA, so that may be the smell that you are actually smelling.

You may also be smelling a combination of the coffee brewing and them popcorn cart burning caramel when making their caramel popcorn.

The Bakersfield Bakery and Burrbank Ice Cream are not very far from the Golden Gate Bridge, and coffee scents do tend to travel quite a ways.

speaking of bakeries, where is a fair priced bakery we can go to to get pastries items to keep in the hotel for breakfast?

Has anyone else noticed the smell of lemon mint all through Adventureland and Frontierland? We were there Sept. 10-15, and we smelled it every night. It was especially strong around Splash Mountain. I probably wouldn't have noticed it, but we planted some at home right before we left, so I was very familiar with the smell. It was so wonderful! :goodvibes

I love the smell of waffle cones when I walk by Burrbank in DCA. :goodvibes
