New cruise offer

No,

You do realize that this is not a "we love you discount" but a "we can't sell this ship out discount":confused3

Disney caters to families meaning that they don't NEED to discount when the kids are out of school.

Reminds me of the fact that they do DVC member cruises when the kids are in school.
And they charge top dollar for those!:lmao:

I wish I could take advantage of it but I am just not going to be able to take off work . Its a great deal .

I am pretty sure that they only do this to fill the boat, on times that aren't selling. So most likely not ever have any of these offers while kids are off from school.

If that were the case, then I wonder whey the first offer was any sailing in June, when most kids would be out of school.

Thanks so much for posting!

I got the first email offer for the cruise in June, but not this one.

I just called and booked this cruise for September 7th! Cant wait!!! :)

We didn't get the email for either cruise but I subscribe to dvcnews.com and got notification for both. We did the June deal and it was great. We wanted to do the later June cruise but it was sold out before I could even make the call. There was much more availability on the firt two weeks since many districts are still in school then. We can't do September with school aging just started. Hope they will keep these offers up in the future. Does make you wonder about who they are sending emails to and not everyone.

Mine was in my spam box :) Guess it looked like adverstising to my system .... Truth is painful sometimes.

Did it say it was from Disney Vacation Club?

I didn't look before I deleted it. Sorry!

but i have a lot of DVC stuff go there. I always check after my reservation to dig out my confirmation. (Yes, I know if I put them in my address list it wouldn't go to spam, but honestly I don't care about the latest offer to spend $200 on points for a resort LOL!)

Tried like heck but since we just got back from Disney and are sailing next year, DW said no dice.

UGh, I so wish I could take advantage of that. My kids are dying to go on a disney cruise and we just cannot justify the price. But, I can't pull them out of school the first week and I will be 35 weeks pregnant. Boo

I booked the Sept 2 cruise when DCL first announced the NY sailings. Yes, our kids were going to miss the first two days of school... but this sailing was much less than the August sailings $3600 for 2A/2C in a 5C.

I noticed that the price on this sailing never increased, and the disboards for this sailing was anemic, so I had a feeling it was not selling well. I considered cancelling my reservation to see if it would be discounted after the paid in full date, but I chickened out.

Boy did I have buyers remorse as the cruise was discounted, but I was not able to take advantage after the paid in full date.

Then I got the DVC email, but I ignored it as I assumed I would be stuck w my rack fare. But it turns out they let me apply the discount code and I got nearly an $1100 refund today! Nearly 33% off!

Makes me feel like the resale DVC contract I purchased was an even better deal! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

That is fantastic , happy for you and to hear about more great customer service .:thumbsup2

Wonder if the point structure for these cruises has also changed??? Doubt it but will check next week.

DH and I are booked (can't justify taking the kids out of school 3 or 4 days depending on which cruise). We got a category 4b (deluxe oceanview family stateroom with verandah) with travel insurance for less than the price of a 11c (inside standard stateroom)!!!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

My wife has been looking at these cruises because we would not need to fly, just use mass transit. This offer made it a reality.

We will also be joining the Sept 2 cruise

I wonder what the single supplement is.... I told my parents about them and they want to go but we'll need 2 rooms and I can't find anybody to go with (that I want to go with...) so I need a single. And my parents can't go alone because I'm the DVC member....

Guess I better email somebody for info. LOL

It's $1,129.23.

This is the best part to me living in ny you dont loose any days to travel .

Wish we could have taken advantage of this one too, the itinerary looks fun. Unfortunately, we just did the June Fantasy deal (our first cruise ever) and don't have the additional vacation days

Hopefully this trend keeps up into future years, so far we are very happy DVC members :thumbsup2

Are these offers only open to those who purchased direct or do resale purchasers get the same opportunity?
