OT Coupon Dedication

I went shopping on Tuesday and used my coupons. I have 2 holders. One for expiring within the month and one with all my others. The one that held the expiring this month had some really good ones in it. Free Listerine that I have been holding until later and $5 off Benefiber and several other great ones.

Well I went shopping again on Thursday and realized my holders were gone. I always leave them in my car so I will have them. I searched my car and my house several times and couldn't find them. I called the housekeeper and she had not seen them. I called Target to make sure no one turned them in.

Well I started retracing my steps and thought back to what I did after I used them. I went by the PO on Tuesday after shopping. I dropped some newspaper in the recycle bin at the school and I also remember going and sitting at the park on Thursday to fill out envies to mail. While I was there I threw some trash out of my car in the park can. ( It's a really pretty park with a lake and geese near the library. Bamanole will know which one I am talking about)

This morning I thought maybe I needed to see if they were in either of the places I had been. I checked the paper bin, but there was no way to get in and people had put more paper in so I couldn't tell whether it was there or not.

The next stop is the park. Lots of people coming and going. So I sit in my car and address some more envies and listen to my book on tape. I finally realize the park will never be completely empty so I take a piece of paper to the trash can to throw away. There's not too much garbage in there so I am thinking it has been emptied since Thursday. So I sit there a little while longer and try to decide how I am going to find out if my coupons are in there. I decided to get an old umbrella out of trunk that needed to be trashed anyway and then I stirred around in the trash. I saw the bag that I threw away so I knew it hasn't been emptied. I take the umbrella and stick it through the trash bag handles and I see one of my coupon holders is in it. I dug it out of the trash. I took it back to the car and wiped it off with a wipe. I still didn't find the one for expiring coupons, but at least I got one back. So if anyone says they saw a woman in the park digging through trash, it was me. I was so happy to find it.

I am going to call Target again and the PO to see if my other one has been turned in.

I just hope that if someone finds it and they don't turn it in that they will use the good coupons. At least I will not feel like it is such a waste.

Just to let everyone know. The coupons that were in the trash are not the ones I use for the train. They are ones that I have kept to use for myself.

Birthday update, in case any of you are curious. We do officially have an April birthday now. We also have one duplicate, Nena & lilsweetpea share a birthday. Also, what I have decided to do, starting in August, is send a PM to you all with the birthdays for that month. I'lll finish out July how I am doing it now, just with posting on the dates, but will start messaging in August of upcoming birthdates! Good idea? Yeah or nay?
