New Contempo Cafe

Got this in a Disney email newsletter and thinking of seeing if we can get a reservation at short notice... Anyone been there???

Contempo Café Opens at Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Contemporary Resort has opened the Contempo Café, a 114-seat quick-service restaurant located on the fourth floor of the Resort directly in front of Chef Mickey's. Guests are greeted with an electronic menu that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner items. After making their decision, electronic kiosks are available so guests can order their food from the kitchen and continue browsing for side items, desserts and drinks. Guests can then head to the register where they will receive a pager to alert them once their order is complete. They may also enjoy watching the monorail go by, a definite perk according to Anna Roman, area manager for Food and Beverage. "Waving to passing monorails, a Concourse Steakhouse favorite past-time, has been re-instituted at Contempo Café," said Roman. "It's great to see their faces light up when they get a wave back."

I am going there either next Saturday on the 13th or Sunday on the 14th, so I can't wait.

I'm pretty sure this is just a CS restaurant where you do not have to make ressies. Since its an electronic menu, its first come first serve basically. Just depends on if you get a table. My guesses are that it won't be hard to get into it, since its just another CS restaurant.

Yep...sounds like a similiar system to the CS at the Poly.

Yea lol I tried making a reservation today and found out that you cant lol silly me... but I am going to make this a definite lunch stop. I wish dinner could be so easy to figure out though!

I am looking forward to trying out the roast beef sandwhich on the dinner menu. What time are they open until? I am looking fwd to my first stay at CR in about 30 or so years when I was just a kid!

Hours:

Grab & Go only (no kitchen preparation): 6:00am – 12 midnight

Breakfast: 7:00am – 11:00am

Lunch: 11:00am – 10:00pm (lunch items are available thru dinner hours)

Dinner: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
