New computer recommendations

Hi everybody

As our old PC is getting a bit long in the tooth we've decided to look at getting a new one. As Ann (my wife) has just started a Degree course at Coventry University which involves a lot of written study, we would prefer a laptop type so that she can take it with her and update her studies throughout the day where possible.In addition we are also taking steps to have broadband installed at home which will be wired to the existing PC, so we would like the option of a wireless connection included.
Having had a brief look on the web the choice is somewhat bewildering to say the least!
All we really want is the following:

Laptop or notebook format

Reasonably cheap - doesn't have to be the fastest or newest design ( would consider preowned)

Wireless Internet connection.

Has anyone got any recommendations, or can suggest a good place to look?

Also, try looking at KomputerKrazy, I got a new base unit from them (their Earl Shilton shop) and I'm very happy with their service etc. They are opening stores in Nuneaton and Bedworth soon.

i work with pc's every day. and large numbers of them too. i cannot stress enough how important spending those extra few pounds on a better company with a better customer service record is.

As for my vote. dell allllll the way. never had a problem with these guys. ever.and thats saying something when working in network support.

Had a look at Dell (amongst others) and they have some pretty good prices as well at the moment.

I just bought my laptop from dell last month and I'm very satisfied.

Ordered off the web, had it within a week and no problems..
