My family has decided to stay at the Poly for the first time. We have always stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Can I have some feedback on the good/bad at Poly and how it compares to Riverside? Thanks!

I really LOVE the Poly. I only stayed at POR one time and that was a kid less trip. Since I've traveled with my children I've always stayed at the Poly and really love the atmosphere, the location and the whole feel to the place. I love the room size. Love the queen size beds. Love that I can see the castle from the Poly. My kids love the Electric Water Parade at night and we can watch the fireworks from the beach (or LV room).

I stayed at POR before I found the DIS and I didn't know to make room requests. I was really far away from the main building at POR. It was a LONG hike to the food court for breakfast. I did like the food court. Did like that the sink was seperate from the bath (only a very few rooms have that at Poly).

You just can't beat the monorail or boat to MK and at Poly you can walk to TTC to catch direct Epcot monorail. It is also a nice walk to GF. I'm sure you'll love it too!

We had a glorious time! My husband has been to many places in the world - before kids - he says this was the best vacation he'd ever had. It was AWESOME for me too!!! The Poly was wonderful. We stayed in Tahiti lagoon view. Our children were 4 and 6 so we watched the fireworks from our balcony at night while they were sleeping. Truly magical. The children loved the pools, O'hana is incredible. Wish you the best.
