obrien040362: The forth night free special is for Universal Orlando only, so it won't apply to the Disney special.

Just got my August ressie at AS Mo reduced to the new rate...every little bit counts. Thanks!

I changed from the AP rate to this new code. Poly garden view with new code is $221 (was $232) and Beach Club standard view with new code is about $210 (was $225). All of these prices are with tax. Without tax for those who are interested, Poly garden view is $199, Beach Club standard is about $187. These prices are for value season in mid July. This was a savings of $111 off our 9 night stay plus I was able to get dates that I really wanted that were previously unavailable under the AP rate.:)

I am so glad everyone is getting a good rate. Maybe what they quoted me was with tax for the YC and the POLY. I doubt if I would of changed anyway from POR. We LOVE that resort, but I kindof wanted to try a deluxe. We saved $168 for 11 nights over the ap rate. That is good cause I added another day 2 weeks ago and that pays for it.
luvdisney,
I would just keep on trying and let us know what you get! Good luck!!

Well this new code did not help us. We currently have a rate of $162.50 a night plus tax and resort fee for a total of $753.50 for 4 nights from Aug 12th through Aug 16th. This is with a AAA rate booked online.

I just called Disney about the new code and here is what I was quoted.

AKL same dates as noted above tax included.

Standard $617 We stayed at the AKL in pool view rooms twice last year for a total of 15 days and when we would walk to the bus stop we would comment on how we would not want to be in one of those rooms so this is not an option.

Pool $844 Since we did not think we were going to be able to go to WDW at all during 2002 we are trying to keep the costs down so since this is $90.50 more then add in $25 for the gym so we are now up to $115.50 more then the Dolphin no can do.

I was also quoted $910 for the savannah view room I just got this for informational purposes I know this would be more then what we have booked at the Dolphin.

So I hope some people are able to save money with these codes but we will be keeping our AAA rate at the Dolphin.

Happy discount hunting to all.

Does anyone know whether the drop on room rate would cause the vacation packages to drop, too, or are they two seperate quoting system?

I used the online vacation booking system to get a quote within that period of time, but the package rate is still as high as usual, not a cent was cut.

So, can someone do the math for me?

Thanks.

...you mean WDW is quoting everyone these prices because they have a code. I got these rates, too, and I am a DC member. So, shouldn't I get a better rate? Why am I paying an annual fee for something if they are going to give these fabulous rates to everyone anyway....???: :(

I think the discount offered by DC on April 1st gives the same discount if you do a little math.

For example, 3 nights @ Moderate Resorts + Ultimate pass

DC price $379*2=$758

According to Mousesavers, 3 nights/4 day Ultimate pass is $220 per adult. So $758-$440= $362, which would be the room-only rate+souvenior pins. If we assume that each night is $94, with 6% sales tax would be $99. Then the two pins we get would cost us $60.....

Looking at the analysis, the only benefit that DC members get from it would be the passes.....it is the Ultimate Park Passes!! Of course, if you have AP, you get DC discount on that... Also DC members get a toll free res number, little discount here and there...

I am also a DC member, so, with the new discount, should I :D or :( ??

So, let me know if you would like to further discuss about my analysis.

kimmar067,

I also have the DC rate and yes the rate with the new code is about the same except for the 1 extra perk we get. We also get passes for either mini golf or wide world of sports. Which is about a $40.00 value for a family of 4. Oh and one more thing I almost forgot, we also have a smaller deposit due. I have ressie for 4 nights in August with a woods view at the WL and then 2 nights at AKL savanna view. My DC rate is 640.22 for WL and 450.22 for AKL. I called today for the new code and WL woods view was 639.00 and AKL was 450.00. So for me, it's worth keeping the ressie I have with the DC rate, because we will be doing both Mini Golf and Wide world of sports. The above quotes included tax.

Does anyone ever hear of CRO letting you use the code for a different time period? We are going in early May and would love to get a deal.

..thank you for your posts. I guess I shouldn't complain because I, too, got $108 (w/tax)/nite for CBR and $150 (w/tax)/nite for WL and I also get EITHER/OR WWS or mini golf (how did you get BOTH??). I am not crazy about resort-hopping, but after eating at Whispering Canyon in Nov (2001) I fell in love with WL and we cannot really afford it for the whole 9 days (we need 2 rooms), so I thought it would be nice to stay there few just a few days (2 or 3)....Yes, you DO get other discounts here and there, which do add up....thank you for making me feel better!:sunny:

Just a correction jeank74 . . .
resort tax in Orlando is 11%. For some resorts (AKL?) it is 12%.
So $94 per night is $104 with tax.
This may be helpful to you folks who want to compare prices with and without tax between resort.

What is CRO. What is the Number. What is the Code #
CRO is the central reservation office at (407)WDI-SNEY.
The rate codes are listed on www.mousesavers.com. It is easier to get the discounted rate if you are able to tell the cast member exactly what code you're referring to for ease of checking with the computer.

Our stay in July falls during two seasons; regular and value, so I have two ressies booked with the AP rate.

I called CRO yesterday to convert my AP ressies to the new code ressies. The part of our stay that falls in regular season was available, and they switched the rate for me, so I'm saving a total of $25 over 5 nites. Still, $25 is $25!:) Unfortunately, the last days that fall in the value season, where I would have saved another $45, were unavailable. (Savings seem to be greater during the value season.) They said the YC is totally booked!

So for now I'm keeping the AP ressie for the value season, and just grateful that I was able to book it when I did! The BC was available, but we are YC nuts!!! I'll still keep trying!

Now what is this new code that some are saying is coming out on Sunday? Is it this code, just a few days early, or will there be something different? :D

I got the BC water view for 261. including tax, for 4 nights in August. The other 2 nights at GF were about 255 with the new code. I am still waiting til tomorrow though because there may be a deeper discount on the BC or GF according to the CM. This is the same rate as I had with the AP discount (now I don't have to buy the pass) so I saved about 200.00) Also, this was the same as the DC rate I had looked into. Still hoping for something else Sund.

heath dog - No, they won't let you use codes for any dates that aren't part of the original deal. I have heard of one person using a postcard after the dates were expired, but they might have let that happen b/c there were other codes for the same price.

I've been waiting, very impatiently, for discounts for June 21 & 22 at Polynesian. By the time we acted, the discounted rooms under the CIF code were already booked. Now the new discounts start June 23, so we booked June 23 & 24, but they won't let us have June 21 & 22 for anything less then rack rate. It's all very frustrating, but part of the game and I do enjoy the hunt.

...to inquire about why my rate w/tax was $108 and not $104. Apparently, CRO added "cancellation insurance" without my ok. So, I cancelled it, bringing my total down to $1878.46, or $104/nite for CBR......:D
