I have been calling last 2 weeks hoping for new code.Well this delightful operator named Tammy told me Tuesdays are the day that the new code comes out . I asked her if that meant this Tuesday was the day. she laughed and said we can't really tell you but the next 2 tuesdays she is working on her off day. I hope she was telling me something without actually telling me something !(LOL!)
:bounce:  :cool1:

I would love it to be this Tuesday but my guess would be the next Tuesday.. (from what people have been saying.) We'll all just have to keep our fingers crossed

Wow, I hope that you are on the money!! I have been checking and checking. We are booked in the CR Towers for July and want to book another room for some relatives at the AS.

We were told by a reservation CM that codes would be released at the end of February. Since that is Monday, could it be Tuesday March 1st? I'm sure the boards will be a buzz when it happens. There are ALOT of folks waiting for spring and summer rates. I'm waiting for a fall rate for some family members. But have lots of friends waiting for the spring rates.

whats the chances of these codes being through Aug and not just through July?

OK, this thread got me curious, so I went to my email filing cabinet and sadly must say there is no pattern. I got the following passholder email messages announcing the discounts the day before they are released to the public:

8/25/04 (Wednesday) released for public knowledge on Thursday
10/20/04 (Wednesday) released for public knowledge on Thursday
12/27/04 (Monday) maybe this is the newest pattern.

Anyway this would mean passholders should check their email first thing on Monday (this one or the next). But I did notice that my email messages arrived around 9:30AM. Don't know if this background will make you guys all crazy, but gives you something to think about. I hope WDW has your email addresses so you can receive this info, but am sure someone will post it. I just saved mine for future reference. Since they only started sending out advance email messages last year, 8/25/04 is as far back as I can go.

A travel agent friend of my told me that general public disney codes are gone and that the only codes for the future are AP and FL resident...This was the info she got from her Disney rep. just this past week.

While I hope she is wrong for the many many of you that depend on the general codes...but with the change in the ticket pricing...my guess is that she is probably right...they want people to purchase packages...

I'm a new AP holder. How do we get on the list to receive the email notification with the new codes?

Thanks for any info.

I would just check at Mousesavers.com they are usually very up to date in there discount codes...there really isn't an email list to be on...your Mickey Monitor should list discounts...but like us...we very rarely get one on time if at all..

go to this link

https://secure.disney.go.com/wdw/re...m/wdw/myVacation/index?id=MyVacationIndexPage

at the section where it says "register" enter your date. It will let you register there. it will set up a profile for you to receive email.

Not only do I get advance email AP messages for discounts. I get them when there is going to be an AP preview. While looking for the room discount ones, I actually found a stitch preview one too. BTW: I did not notice any pattern of times the messages were sent. One was sent as early as 6:46A while another arrived at 11:00AM.

I was concerned that I might not be receiving emails and wrote them and this is what they told me to do.

I noticed in this week's Sunday travel section that disney did not have an ad for the packages. I'm hoping that this is because codes will be coming out this week and the information in the ad would have been premature or not correct depending on the day you decide to call and make your ressie.

No ad here in Miami either, just checked today. Hopefully this Tuesday will be THE DAY!

Here in GA I haven't seen an ad in a while :( I too am a pasholder, and am registered on the WDW site. I have not received a copy of the Mickey Monitor by mail but can acces it online. Will I receive a hard copy as well?

I'm also an AP holder and just booked a room for one nite at AS. If the codes come out can i call them to get the better deal or do i have to cancel the first ones then book at the new rate?

Yes, you can call them with a code,
and since you're only booked for one night
you shouldn't have to alter your existing ressie.
The CM will simply enter your code/request
into their system & apply it.
But as always, there is NO guarantee that your room on that night
will be "available" (per CRO's computer) for the code
to be applied, even tho you're booked for just one night.

Don't mean to ruffle any feathers, but I'm SO GLAD I'm a FL resident if that's the case! Looking to see if the codes come out this year. If so, I'm gonna think, it's gonna look pretty good for my trip next year! :cheer2: :cheer2:

That rumor went around last fall, too, but turned out to be false.

I can't imagine Disney coming out with a blanket policy of no general public discounts for ever and ever. They have been moving more toward email and postcard discounts, which are for specific people, over the last 2 years, but I seriously doubt that they would ever completely stop having general-public discount codes published in newspapers and magazines. There will always be times of slow bookings that will require some extra discounts to bring people into the parks.

I should have added email and postcards...but the fact is right now they are not having any difficulty filling the rooms and they have totally revamped there ticket media (unlike last year). I think the new ticket media is an indication that no general room only codes are gone...but really only time will tell....

I hope for the sake of the folks that really depend on them they show up, fortunately for me I'm a DVC member and an AP holder...

We are not going until July 6. I am assuming that they won't release codes for us until later, probabaly May. Does anyone think they may release the codes for the summer all at once? Geez that would be great!
