New coaster at DCA?

As for value, its apparent that people dont feel even at a reduced price that DCA is worth the time of effort or their attendance would be much higher.
DR-RNRC would be little IMHO to help out dca!!!!! But agree they could use another excellant coaster but not another cloned ride/coaster. A hyper coaster would help the parks site greatly!! As would a decent wooden coaster. Why would a park want to have two launched coasters??? Wouldnt they want some variety?? Both X and wicked twister have capacity problems so disney should build a coaster that can put alot of people thru and one that isnt prone too breakdowns which have plagued X and has hurt Wicked Twister. They need a coaster with 4 across seating for capacity or a long ride like Calif. Screaming but one that is alot better with more elements too it.

Well, different prices for different times, I guess. Our 4 day hopper was only 111.00. The 3 day was 84 or 89 (I think).

Also, we used every minute of the 4 days at DLR. Of course we were at the GC and I had no desire to drive whatsoever. In fact we arrived at DL at 10:00 pm (coming from Monterey) intentionally so the traffic would be lighter (I didn't say light)!

I agree wth your statement about time though. We were gone for 11 days and we could do the same route next year and aside from DL wouldn't have to repeat a thing, I don't think. In fact we're considering another trip in the spring for our 20th...Perhaps SF, Monterey & Big Sur (especially Big Sur)...

Yup, everything was high when we went.

Your next proposed trip sounds super! I'm planning on finishing up southern California next year and hope to head up to the north the year after that. Everywhere you mentioned plus a nifty little ghost town by the name of Bodie is on my list. :)

Bob O I see what you are saying about capacity. I was actually trying to think of a coaster "style" that would be new/different for a disney theme park when I thought of wicked twister. So, that one is a bad idea, but I would like to see something new and cutting edge and different (at least for Disney) there.

I guess we have different ideas about what "helping DCA" means :) I think RNRC would help DCA!! But then, I think any e-ticket would help DCA. Heck, I think any A-D ticket would help DCA.

I'm not convinced on a hyper coaster though - Wouldn't you be able to see the thing from inside disneyland? I'm not sure how they could "theme" a hyper coaster, either (of course they could theme it as roller coaster, I guess).

DR, I would agree that anything would help dca, but i think putting in another cloned ride which isnt alot different from a lanched coaster that is already there would en up disappointing people. I do agree a ride like Wicked Twister which is new to the area woyld be great but if dca ever gets busy it could cause problems with long waits and i have heard of problems with the ride at Cedar Point.
For a park like DCA seeing a hypercoaster from the outside wouldnt IMHO be a negative while it would at DL.
I would perfer a ride like Alpenquist at Busch gardens Willaimsburg which is a great ride, can handle alot of people with 4 across seating with proven tecnhology and has good theming for a coaster with skiers stuck in roofs of building/simulated snow underneath etc. Now disney could make theming superior from this is they wished which could make for a great ride experience.
