My oven broke right after Thanksgiving. The new one is on backorder - which we did not find out until the delivery day last week. The naval oranges I always order are sour this year. And now I hear a coastal storm may dump snow in us - meaning we won't see anybody this Christmas (its still just a possibility though).
However, I have 3 great kids who all still live at home. We are all healthy. We have enough food and will have even more on Christmas. I just discovered my oven will sort of work after a long pre-heating time. And we have a wonderful wood stove that can keep it VERY warm in the house.
So, although things might not be what I planned and dreamed of for this Christmas, we will still be OK. We may not have homemade cookies. And we may not see my Mom or sister or my DH's family. We will have each other. It will just be different - a new reality

But I'm still praying for no snow

I definately can't do without an oven that long! I will be pushing them hard with that in mind! I hope to at least get a truthful answer soon.
