I recently heard that the chef from Jiko left to work with a larger company. I was wondering if the food was still worth the prices. We dined there last year, and we were very pleased with the service and the food. If you've gone recently send me some info!

The chef from Le Cellier went to Jiko so my guess is it will be great. The question really is - who is in charge of the kitchen at Le Cellier now and will it still be as good?

i've never been that big of a fan of Le Cellier. That was my conflict with the news about the chef leaving Jiko.

Same here, though hopefully Jiko will have a better budget when it comes to purchasing high quality ingredients.

i do hope so.
the food was of great quality when we ate there last december.
we're trying to make plans and reserve Priority Seating before our vacation since we're going during the winter holidays.

The new executive chef at Jiko is Brian Piasecki. I went to a couple of food and wine pairings at Le Cellier and everything he made there was great - I assume that's how he cooks when he isn't restrained by the restaurant menu.

Looking forward to seeing how he does at Jiko since I think Jiko always allowed for more variety than Le Cellier.

I've always loved Jiko. We ate there the first year it was open and the qaulity was excellent, unlike some restaurants who start out mediocre. I just hope it doesn't disappoint us this year!
