New Character M&G Possibly Coming This Fall--Shellie May

You are absolutely right, it doesn't specifically say a M&G, does it? Sure seems implied, and it fits with a recent report from CM handlers at Epcot. I guess we'll have to stay tuned....

Duffy left about a week ago. And I'm confused too!

Seems like just merchandise in the blog post, but the title sounds like a Meet and Greet?
Very confusing considering they just pulled Duffy.
Maybe they are planning a relaunch of the products along with a Meet and Greet with both of them.
That would be awesome. Let's hope.

The rumbling is that Shellie will move into Duffy's old greeting spot near World Showcase.

This actually makes sense from a marketing angle. Duffy had a group of "core" fans who bought all the Duffy clothes items, but it was inevitable that the sales would eventually level off. In the meantime, we had all heard of Shellie, but knew that she was limited to Japan, so she was this mysterious character, seen only in photos. So now you introduce Shellie stateside, and all the folks who bought the Duffy merchandise will now "need" to buy the Shellie stuff as well.

A few years from now, will we see that same location welcoming Gelatoni?

I hope she comes back to a M&G with Duffy!!! I would be so happy.

It's a shame they didn't bring a single good costume for her. The Japanese costumes are always so good, why they don't just bring them to WDW?
The 12" ones are terrible too. Why they do that???

I wonder how different the US Shellie Mays will be from their Japanese counterparts. I have a JP Shellie May and a US Duffy, and they are a bit different.

(I also really hope they bring the plushie keychains and cellphone straps!)

If they have even a small percentage of all the Duffy and Shellie May stuff you can get at Tokyo Disney Sea, I would be very happy.
