Hi there,

I spoke with a manager called "T" in MGM last week, at length, for quite a while about characters in the park and he explained that "costumes" at the parks are also shared with DL and other events. He went on to tell me that Chip & Dale will have some love interest on the 14th May with the introduction of Clarisse, who appeared in the short films years ago.

Another snippet he told me that the new character meal will include "Little Einstein" characters and JOJO and Goliath at the Hollywood & Vine appearing near the 5/14 date.

Many more PIXAR characters to come also, in parades, although no meal plans as yet.

wow! thanks for the info.. what all does hollywood and vine serve to eat anyways?

Well, let's hope that is true! Finally an answer to the all mighty question about a new character meal at MGM! I miss when H&V had the ballroom Minnie and other characters. It was a lot of fun. I don't know how many people will enjoy the "younger" characters, but I know that my 2 year old will for now!
I sure wish that MGM would put something for "tweens". My oldest loves all of the shows (Raven, High School Musical :cheer2: , Zac and Cody) anything on there really. It would be neat to develop something for that age group. The clothing doesn't even come in Jr. or adult sizes and I know that a lot of middle school and up kids enjoy those programs as well. Maybe someone from Disneys marketing department should contact me!! :rotfl2:

That's exciting that Clarisse coming to MGM! She'd be a great addition to the line-up there. I'd love to meet her.

I can only imagine the ensuing chaos with Chip and Dale fighting over Clarisse. This is a great idea on Disney's part.

My youngest is a pre-teen, I've never heard of any of those charactars. IMO, very disappointing after all the buzz (pun-intended) about Toy Story meal. Believe they own the rights to Spot (the dog), why not use him - certainly better known via books & videos???

MY 19mo loves Jo Jo... time to go change my ADR.

Do you think this will be a character dinner?

Wow! I sure hope the Clarise rumor is true! I have seen an Internet photo of her, and she would be a great new addition to the parks! :) I am very biased towards the classic Disney characters, so it's great that Disney is getting an "old" one out there!! :)

I hope to be at WDW in mid-May, so I will keep my eyes open for her! :teeth:

I really hope all these rumors are true. Would love to meet all these characters, and the character meal would be new and I would try it, I will have to call Disney dining next week and see if they are taking reservations for it yet. :)

I'm disappointed as well, since I would love to see Toy Story or Monsters Inc. characters at meals. However, as the parent of 2 preschoolers, I'll tell you, the little ones know nothing about Spot. We have one video that was handed down to us from a family whose kids are 9 - 17 years old. Little Einsteins and JoJo are BIG with the runny nose/handprints on the wall set right now. Can't say I love the Einsteins as they seem to be trying a little too hard with this show, but both my kids adore them!

I can confirm for a fact that Clarisse is comming. she'll be here in the fall.

Gaget is also suppose to be comming back too, but that one is a bit iffy at this point.

But Clarisse is a definate. The chipmunks popularity has really gotten to an all time high so they are meeting the demand.

Well, that just gave my bank account a sigh of relief. I think I have the only preschooler who can't stand Playhouse Disney. Actually the only TV show she does like is Dora. Not that I'm complaining - she would rather practice cartwheels and jetes any day.

I bought my 22-month old some of the classic Disney DVD's so she'd get to know the "real" characters like I did back in the day when the Disney Channel was good, and she LOVES Clarice! She gets so excited when that one comes on! How neat that she'll be in the park. That was my favorite Chip & Dale cartoon!

Could someone please post when they are able to make an ADR for the Little Einsteins meal?? DS would LOVE that and we'll be there in May.

I'll call tomorrow, but any other info is appreciated.

Thanks!

We're all big Little Einstein and Jojo fans here! My son will just keel over. In fact, for MNSSHP he is going to be Leo and my daughter is going as June....well, either that or Curious George and the "girl" in the yellow hat. ;)

Yes, he was a very hi up scource this CM "T" it will be a new breakfast in the new Hollywood and Vine, we spoke outside the Monsters Inc garage for some 20 mins, he readily discussed the problems about bring new characters to the Park, eg cost, training etc. He laughed when I told him that we travel from Scotland every year to character hunt. He himself wanted more diverse characters but "they" had feed back to say the "big seven" must appear in all parks.

I tried calling today to ask them since we will be there May and the WDWdine people had no information on it. It is not in their system right now.

i wouldn't call and bother reservations people. no probably less then you do. I woudn't even start thinking about planing around it and not jump the gun until it is officialy anounced that it is actualy going to happen.

just to point out. Bear from the big blue house will not be part of this playhouse breakfast. sorry.
