New California Grill PS procedure

I just saw this at AllEars, I searched and couldn't find a thread about it:

California Grill (Contemporary) implements new credit card guarantee policy -- for all reservations confirmed for Friday, October 21st and beyond a credit card is required at time of booking as a guarantee. Guests will be advised a $20.00 per person cancellation fee will apply for cancellations within 24 hours or for any no shows. Guests will need to provide billing address, card type, credit card number and expiration date on each booking.

no problem for us, we'll never eat there again anyway...
it was without a doubht our worst dining experience this year at WDW.....our worst overall WDW dining experience in all our years and years of visits still belongs to the hoop de do review....
but the CG, for all its hoopla of being such a classy gourmet place, was a major disappointment......not at all worth the time or the money or the effort...

Hmmmm, I just made a AR for Cali Grill for Dec. - they did not ask for my cc info. Wonder if I should call back and check? They gave me a conf. # - but, that's no guarantee, is it? LOL!

Our last meal was a disappointment also. When we were there in April, they implemented the policy of meeting in the lobby because they wanted to avoid crowds using the outside observation deck. Our meal was just OK so I won't plan on holding a reservation with a credit card. There are lots of other great restaurants.

YEP...I just called to change the # in my party for Nov. 4 and the Cm said if she booked a new reservation, it would now require CC guarantee. Couldn't get a good time for new party size so just kept original reservation for larger party which CM advised doing. Told me just to tell them when I got there that we are now paraty of 6, not 9. (She did not need CC since i had made this reservation sometime ago before policy change)
