Ok, so I just recently started my own business at home. I had registered my trade name (or doing business as name) with the local government, checked the internet for similar or same names and everything came back great.I have since ordered business cards and bumper stickers, not to mention bought the domain name. Let me say upfront that xyz.com was bought by some company who was not using but just had it to sell for a ridiculous price so I am xyz.net.
So Dh and I decide that we are more than likely moving back to my home town. So I start checking for my business name there and low and behold there is a business with the same exact name. Not only that, but now they own xyz.com!!! I am so mad. So when I move, I have to rename the business. Only good thing is that i will have only been in business for a couple months. This sucks!!
