New buses; new look; USB outlets

The headline says this is a refresh, but these are actually the 1st 3 of the order of approx. 80 new buses.

They're made by Gillig, same as most of the existing 40' ones.

The existing 40' buses with curved front ends are Novas. Most of them are the oldest in the fleet, but there are either 5 or 10 (I forget which) newer 40' Novas.

The 60' articulated buses are Novas and New Flyers.

I am glad that used Classic Mickey, instead of Disney Channel modern minimalist Mickey like on the GMR replacement.

I suspect the mentality of most bus riders will be the same as those who charge at some airport terminals's port- first come, first served. It's not like the internal buses are ridden much longer than 30 minutes.

Me, too! I worry that someone will trip over a cord, or tear one out of the plug, or when I am sitting down someone reaching around trying to fit their device into an inconvenient spot. I hope that it doesn't cause problems, but I feel that it will to some extent. Honestly, are we so connected now that we must plug in during a mostly short bus ride???? I don't think it is a necessary thing to do.

This is what confused me as well. I doubt I am ever on a bus more than 15 minutes and most times it’s less. I just don’t see a lot of benefit from such a short charging time. I think I will stick with my charging case. I do like the idea of WiFi on the buses and I like the character look, and the overall look of the interior.

It's either in front/on your seat or it's not. It's like saying there will be fights on airplanes with plugs or amtrak with plugs.

I'd say they are out of luck but probably happy to make it on the bus rather than having to wait 25 minutes for the next one.

Yes? What’s the issue? Every resource is finite, whether it’s seats, space, or outlets.

In fact, consider yourself lucky if you even happen to get a bus with charging ports. They're a nicety Disney is providing on the new buses, not a universal right.

Best thing to do is carry an external battery for recharging.
