Just wondering what was going on with the new bus loop at MK? Didn't know when it would be completed or if the busses would be the same protocol, just spaced out differently?

The word on the Internet is that the third bus loop at the Magic Kingdom will open Sunday, November 24 (tomorrow, as I post this).

The word is also that the additional bus stops will allow Magic Kingdom bus service to and from Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, which previously operated from the TTC.

The additional curb space sets the stage to allow larger, higher-capacity buses, although this might require reworking some of the existing bus stops.

As far as know, none of this has been announced officially, as of today. But if various bloggers are correct, we'll know tomorrow.

That is correct; it was announced to bus drivers today. However, direct service to the other parks will not begin until 12/15.

AoA and CBR win the prize for the longest walks to the gates. AoA is about 1/4 mi. from the turnstiles, which is abut the same as the furthest load zones at both Epcot & AK.

The new load zones can accommodate either one of the new artics, or 2 of the existing 40' buses. Each has been assigned 2 gate numbers, but both numbers are assigned to just one resort, meaning 2 40' buses will be able to load at once. The larger resorts remaining in the old load zones will now have 2 adjacent load zones assigned, so they will also be able to load 2 buses at once without the 2nd bus being away from the curb.
