New Book Book Cover for New iPad

Kevin has mentioned his Book Book cover for his Mac(something).

The absolute best iPhone cover I have ever had is my Book Book cover. I was never crazy about the way the Book Book iPad cover looked, especially in the way it used elastic to hold the iPad. I wasn't crazy about having a $500+ electronic device be subject to the whims of elastic.

Even so, I was about to cave, however, when Book Book announced it had redesigned the iPad cover. Mine arrived today. The elastic is gone. This cover is thinner (so they say) and accommodates using the iPad for photos without having to remove it from the case. It looks, and smells, wonderful. It fits my new iPad (3) very snugly. Twelve South says it also fits the iPad 2.

I have no financial relationship with Twelve-South (other than, of course, they persuaded me to part with $80).

Now the poor leather merchants in Florence won't yell at me when I ask, next time I'm there, whether they sell iPad covers.

Well, now I'm glad I the Florence leather merchants didn't sell Tumi. Those look very beautiful. Too beautiful for me. I'm just a distressed leather kind of guy.

When I visit, I ask for the Etch-a-Sketch. It's not even an iPad anymore. It's a bit odd, when using the iPad vertically, but it looks very cool sitting on the table. I don't have one (yet?), but I might be very tempted by the Book Book cover!

I LOVE my BookBook iPad cover and the way it smells and feels. The elastic is not a problem because the letter pieces at the bottom keep it secure, but it was a good idea to redesign it so that you don't have to take it out of the case to take pictures.

Just received my BookBook for my iPad today. So far, in 4.5 years hanging around these boards, you have had a hand in DVC purchases, HydroFlask, and now the BookBook. The boards are 3 for 3 on quality recommendations.
Now twelvesouth needs to produce a BookBook for my nook simple touch.
