New BLT rooms definitely not "70's cheesy"

I toured the models today.

Still have no desire to add on, but...

The models are MUCH MUCH nicer then the photo, vitual tour etc.

So if, like me, you thought "eh" go see them. They really were someplace I could see myself living. Maybe I will get lucky and get a night there someday!

I loved this post so much I just had to resurrect this thread. :rotfl2:

Now if they can keep up with the South Beach Hotels (like Conrad) and have in room telescopes-just to keep an eye on the FP distribution times. ;)

Another DISer who thinks the models are nicer in person than the photos. The 1 bedroom was especially nice. We'll be looking to stay there someday when we bring youngsters, if we can get in at 7 months. We won't be buying there.

I have to admit we weren't all that impressed with the pictures we saw online, but decided to take the tour of the models last weekend when we were down there. Both DD's really liked the studio layout (with the kitchenette placed in the alcove with the bathroom sink), and thought the decision to make the balcony bigger -- even at the expense of some room size -- worked. They especially liked the eating area in the 1-BR portion: said the table would be perfect for working jigsaw puzzles! As young as they are, they liked the decor, especially the modernistic pictures of Space Mountain.

As you can see from the sig, DW and I added on. What's a parent to do? ;) :thumbsup2

I too was not impressed with the online pictures but liked the in person pics that people posted from their tours. My oldest DD saw the mailing only and has asked us if we plan on adding BLT :lmao: She loves BLT. No, I say, we're adding GCV but if YOU would like to start saving up your pennies, then YOU can buy BLT resale in several years. And she said the same about the table, "Mom, we can do our jigsaw puzzle on that table."
