New Blog: Walking Tour of the Boardwalk

Hi Dave,

I just read it and it'll be great to show our friends what to expect :thumbsup2

I agree it's a bit limited on entertainment during the day but it's still a lovely place to walk around and it really transports you to the seaside :cloud9:

Great blog :woohoo:

I enjoyed your article. I always thought I was missing something over there. Guess I am not but do like the atmosphere.

That was pretty much my take on Boardwalk too. Probably the best thing is to stroll along at night holding hands with your sweetie.

BTW, we need to get Kevin to do a review of BRGBW. My experiences there were pretty miserable so I haven't been back. Perhaps if Kevin goes and has a good experience I'll put it back on the list to give a try sometime in the future (kind of like what I've now done for Fultons).

What was your take on it? We have been a couple of times and enjoyed it. I mean the food was good but not great I just might have liked the beers and thats why I enjoyed the place. We also sat outside when it wasn't very hot and it is nice to enjoy a meal or drinks out there especially if illuminations is going on.

Great job, Dave! Every time I've been there(night or day) there is really nothing going on outside but everybody lists the Boardwalk as something exciting to do outside the parks. Nice to see a report of what actually took place on your afternoon rather than just showing what they have there, even if it was a little disappointing. This is why I :lovestruc the DIS!

I agree with everyone here. I love the atmosphere of the Boardwalk. I actually had to go back many times to get the photos, etc. for the blog. It's such a relaxing place to hang out, and I love the background music they have playing. If that's what you're looking for, I think it's a great place.

My take on BRG? Well, for the record I love to try different beers. But also for the record I appreciate good food and service. What I encountered at BRG on several occasions and poor to non-existent service and food that was OK at best, after it had been sent back. :scared1:

Like I said, that wasn't just one isolated incident. After several tries, we put it on our "don't bother" list since there were so many other good places to eat nearby. For example, ESPN (which I'll admit is a bit loud for my taste) or perhaps burgers at the Dolphin Fountain (even better than Beaches & Cream).

But, I'm willing to give them another try if somebody as an august personage as Kevin were to try it and pronounce it acceptable.

Dang I hate to hear that we have only been 3 times and once was just for drinks. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The service we had was good twice( because we had good service and the next time we were there I asked for the same waiter.) The third service wasn't so great and food was mediocre. The second time we were there was just for drinks outside.
