We always get 2 fried chickens dinners and a salad and share. Never had anything else and will not be trying the beef.



Regarding the French Market, we were sad to see the fried chicken go. We were there last October and it was garbage. Bleh!

I really think they've changed their chicken recipe lately. We've eaten it at Plaza Inn and French Market in the past and it was dreadful in both places. This last trip we figured we'd give it another try at the PI and it was fantastic.

No worries. They don't serve Fried Chicken at the French Market anymore. When they changed the menu to healthier options last year, they removed it and put in a citrus marinaded rotisserie/baked chicken instead. It is very nice and my kids will always eat it.

As an interesting note, the chicken at the Plaza is actually broasted and not simply fried. It's a slightly heathier alternative to standard deep frying that produces the same result in the coating texture. http://www.broaster.com/bbetter.htm

Thanks for the info! It looked so good in Tony's pic I was holding out hope it was a different recipe! Now I'm really looking forward to trying it in May. And thanks for the info on the FM, I didn't know they had a new menu. I'd like to try them again too.
