Remember the widely publicized lawsuit by the fellow (Martinez) who sued Disneyland after getting stuck on It’s a Small World at Disneyland? (I wrote a blog about Disney’s response to the lawsuit.) After almost four years of litigation, the federal court of appeals in San Francisco has finally sunk Martinez’s unhappy cruise. - See more at: http://blog.wdwinfo.com/2015/11/10/...a-lawsuit-finally-sails/#sthash.HrJOt1je.dpuf

I'm not so sure I didn't bury one important point, that Disney spent more than $500k (over about four years) defending this litigation. Given the publicity, I'm sure Disney feels the principle warranted the expenditures.

Thanx for always keeping us updated Jack. I've said before - I always enjoy your knowledge and pursuit of all "the legal news", and your wicked sense of humor! :)

Interesting reading Jack. Thanks for following through on this.

I too appreciate your legal commentary.
As someone who is very interested in the business/corporate side of Disney, I love hearing about this stuff.

And $500k in legal fees is small fry for a company with a rep to uphold and also, "taking one for the team" so as to maybe deter people from bothering to bring such cases going forward. Making an example of this man in other words.

Agree. Disney has to be aggressive with these cases otherwise they will become a huge target.
