New Blog- Animation Academy at DHS

Nice blog Kathy! Show us your Sorecerer Mickey. :)

Great blog Kathy! My oldest son loves this part of Hollywood Studios. He drew some pictures for his younger brother and I framed them and hung them in his bedroom.

I was so surprised today when Kathy was talking about the Animation Academy! I couldn't believe she hadn't done it before. I just love it, I can't draw at all either, but I managed to do some really good characters there. I have Donald, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Tinkerbell (she was the hardest) both Chip and Dale, Tigger, Pooh and of course Goofy.

I have wanted to try it for a long time. I just didn't want to wait in the line. :)

Go in the morning .... never a line. :)

Of course now that you raved about in on the podcast, that will be that end of that! They are going to have to build a bigger room! :teeth:

We just did this two week ago on our trip for the first time and it was a lot of fun. I'd definitely go back again next time, even though my drawing skills are pretty terrible!

That really does look like a blast and I will be trying it! I've always said I couldn't draw to save my life, so I'd love to see if Disney could teach me!

I was just telling my 14 year old niece-in-law(??) about this, as she will be coming with us in May. She's an artist, and would love this.

Here's a tip if you want to do this. You don't need to see the presentation with Mushu. Just go in through the shop and walk around the exhibit area. The Animation Academy will be on your right.

When the Art of Disney Animation attraction first opened, this was actually the extrance to the whole thing, where you could see real live animators working.

WE LOOOOVE THE ANIMATION ACADEMY!!!

We did it for the first time when I was 7 and 1/2 months preganant and it was perfect! I was off of my feet and in the air conditioning and HAVING A BLAST!!

It is one of those things that you might not have done or one of those things to do to get out of the heat and it is perfect for pregnant women!

We have the pictures we drew framed in our babies nursery now!
