It was a summer afternoon in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The heat index had me wondering why on earth we visited this park on that specific day. It was a very hot 105 degrees. It would have been 100 degrees, but because it was the Animal Kingdom, add an extra 5 degrees on to the heat index because of the park’s foliage and plant life.

I LOVE this blog. And I agree 100%. The first thing my family does when we get in line at a CS restaurant is look at the menu and decide what we're going to order.

Yup. And if one of the kids is being indecisive and needs a bit more time when we get to the front, we let the people behind us go first!

The only time I "hold up" the line is when I have to ask if something has gluten. Unfortunately WDW did not have anyone to ask until you were up at the counter, it was annoying. I could usually figure out what might be ok before, however, it was rare I had to ask.

I was wondering the same thing, Gisele, but then I am getting old and am often confused (or so my kids tell me).

OK now I understand.
It does amaze me that this issue would bother folks so much.
I try not to let anything stress me out when I am in DLR.

Eh, doesn't bug me at Disney (land or world), but when I'm at work and on a lunch break and someone at Carl's Jr. stares at the menu forEVER....

Is not the point of this forum to plan for a Disney visit? Not a WDW trip? Hence and I reiterate why is a WDW thread on a Disneyland planning forum?

Why does it matter that much??? So it's a WDW thread. People post things here thinking it's a WDW board all the time. No harm, no foul, no biggie.

This happens all the time at Disneyland, not just at Walt Disney World. I think it's perfectly appropriate to post it here. After all, the title of the Blog is Theme Park Pet Peeve.

That is not my point.

I don't see the article so much a WDW planning article as much as an observation about people at Disney Parks --- or any theme park for that matter. Yes, the examples used in the first part were WDW-related, but it definitely applies to DLR as well. And this is a DLR planning forum, so I see why the OP shared it here. I'm not sure why it's of concern.

Then what is your point?
It makes sense to be on a DLR forum as well because it is also an issue at DLR...

My point being a WDW blog doesn't belong on a Disneyland forum.

It's a cute blog but because it isn't about DL or DCA I agree with Gisele. Since I haven't been to WDW and don't plan on ever going, it's about as relevant to DLR planning as a blog about Knott's or Six Flags would be. They're all theme parks but this is a DLR board...:confused3

I guess the way I see it is that is used WDW examples, but applied very well to DL and DCA. Its nothin hurting anything an may help someone planning a DLR trip so what's the harm?

I have seen things posted here that have much less to do with DLR than a blog about visiting Disney Parks.

I will say, Aaron is a friend. That being said, the blog is relevant to ANY theme park. Particularly on a busy hot day. If you are in a long line, take a little time and decide what you want before you get to the front.
