I'm woundering if i should just go and get new newbalance sneakers. Should I be okay wearning them out of the box? I'v killed any support and shock from my old newbalances; however. they look okay.
I wear New Balance 574, black for work and white for casual. They have leather uppers, and the blacks are office presentable. I wear wides and they do not sell them locally, I order them from LL Bean. They carry the whole range of sizes and widths.
These are one of the few shoes that I would wear all day on my first day. They are that comfortable and if you get the right size they are wearable out of the box. I once bought a new pair and wore them for the first time on a trip to Singapore. No problems.
I shudder thinking about all those guests who try to do a week at WDW without taking good care of their feet.
Tip 1: Carry some moleskin and pad any wear spots(on you, not the shoes

) at midday before any red spots form. Never let a blister form.
Tip 2: Cotton socks are a little cooler, but the midweight Wigwam or Smartwool Merino wool socks from camp stores like campmor.com that have extra thickness on the toe, bottom and heal give great padding on all that concrete walking but are cooler to wear than winter type socks that are thick all over.
Tip 3: The BIG TIP: The NB shoes are great, but the insoles are a little cheap and thin. Spend $12 to $18 and get one of the top Dr. Scholls inserts, whichever is right for you. I use the green ones. Put one in and stand in your new shoes, one foot with the factory and one with the Dr. S. In one second or less you will know, and cannot believe the difference changing the insole can make if you have never bought replacement insoles before. I kick myself for all the years I wore any shoes with the factory inserts.
Now go enjoy walking

your 10 miles per day at the House of Mouse.
