New Atlantis Theory...kinda interesting.

Hmmm...interesting. Might help explain Stonehenge too.

Very interesting. Imagine if our country was entirely wiped out by a natural disaster like that? That's kind of a scary thought.

Yeah it's an interesting idea, but I doubt it to be true. Personally I believe "Atlantis" was located on the islands of Santorini in the southern Aegean Sea. Santorini includes Thera (the largest), Therasia (little Thera), Aspronisi, and the central Kameni Islands. The Minoan civilization was practically wiped out when a huge volcanoe erupted around 1636 B.C. Much of what Plato describes seems to match up with the Minoans. But I'm sure no one really wants a history lesson, especially one that I'm not qualified to give, so I'll leave it at that.

Very interesting indeed, but I have one question; if Irland is suposed to be Atlantis, then how did Plato find out about it? I mean, Irland is so far north someone would have to have...oh, wait a minute, I just answered my own question. Sorry about that.

Interesting theory. I've always been intrigued by the ruins in Ireland, and Stonehenge in Great Britain.

Interesting article, thanks for the link :)
