How does traditional mail and package delivery work? One apartment I lived in had group mailboxes at the front, but if you got a package, you had to visit during office hours to pick it up.

How does traditional mail and package delivery work? One apartment I lived in had group mailboxes at the front, but if you got a package, you had to visit during office hours to pick it up.

A lot of apt buildings here are installing storage boxes
that give a onetime code to open; really useful and secure. For my building they were installed in the mail rooms but smaller buildings are putting them on the sidewalk.
