New AP Rates Are Out

This morning, all of the new codes and dates for Annual Passholders was on the Disney website. Now, it is 11:37 pm central time and all the dates and codes are gone!!! I went online tonight to see if the new does and dates were up for Florida residents since I did not have much luck with the passholder option!!! I was able to book 3-31-08 through 4-5-08 at Fort Wilderness Cabins for $188 a night. I know that is a great rate, however, that is not where I want to stay!!! I originally had the Polynesian, then Wilderness Lodge, but gave them up because i did not want to pay rack rates!!!

I will keep my fingers crossed and keep trying in the morning!!!

I haven't called about the FL resident rates because I booked through a TA and the way I understood is that Disney would only discuss my reservation with my TA and not with me. Is that true?? I guess I could call and just ask like a general...when are they coming out - are they coming out kind of thing?

Well, the AP rates cracked my resolve not to go until August. I booked 5 nights starting May 8th at POR standard for $748.12...I'm pretty happy with it. I'm chalking up the Flower & Garden Festival as home improvement research.

Just to let everyone know. I called today at was able to get Poly 4/17 and CS 4/26 with Passholder rate. Poly didn't come up initially but after the CM found CS, I told her I wasn't sure because it wouldn't pay if I didn't have Poly at the AP rate, she said let me see again and Voila-Poly at the AP rate. Kind of odd but I'm I am going to keep trying to switch to CR and Pop to save money but I am happy with this.

I think it pays to keep calling.

I have a question for those of you who have booked with an AP rate in 2008 ONLY. I know how it used to work, I need to know how it works now.

We are booked for 16 nights in August, broken into 3 ressies. What I am wondering is what happens if the AP rate is available for some of your dates but not all? Do you still have to split the ressies so the discounted nights are grouped together and the full price nights are grouped together? Because I can just see us having 8 different ressies!

For example, our first ressie is Aug. 1-4. In the past AP rates have been released through Aug. 2 in one batch and then Aug. 3 forward isn't released until the next batch a few months later. Will I end up having to split it if I can get AP for Aug. 1 & 2 and Aug. 3 & 4 are rack rate? Thanks!

I called this morning and got BC for $291, standard view, for our quick weekend trip 11-13 April. I was very happy!! We have wanted to try BC.

I've missed a lot of work lately due to illness, so I can't take any time off of work, so we are leaving Friday evening and coming back Sunday night. I really needed a WDW fix!! Best thing, only a few more weeks to wait.

jackskellintonsgirl, I pretty sure they'll add the AP rates to only the dates that apply, even if they overlap. I don't think you'll end up with more than the 3 ressies you already have.

We were originally doing a split stay, but then we decided to do AKL the whole time. I am hemming and hawing about adding DxDDP to the last part or I would have combined it. Historically I don't have very good luck with AP rates so I guess we'll see!

Tiffany, yes, that did include tax. As soon as I get my confirmation email, I will be cancelling. There was an opening at Shades of Green, so we're going to do that instead and save about $400. We really did want to try BC, maybe next time!

I just booked 5/8 - 5/13 at Pop on my AP voucher. They gave me the AP rate, I just have to have my voucher at check-in.

What was the nightly rate for POP? BTW, i have checked in with only a voucher before (actually they just never asked for it!)
