If there was a "yawn" smiley that's what would be here. These announcements aren't bad, I'm just indifferent to them and was hoping for more.

Being a key attraction to IOA, they will work on it over night. Just like Hulk, its repainting took place at night, to keep the ride open during the day.

I think you're right. If they have down time it will be very minimal. They will be able to work on the updated animation behind the scenes and just load it up and test it all at once... its not like everytime they hit save they will be changing the ride.

I think they will upgrade the projectors while they're finishing the animation and then finish the animation by 2012. I hope its done sooner though. The press release if I read correctly said both would be released in 2012 so thats my only thoughts for Spiderman taking so long.

my *hope* is that they will just continue to update the screen in spiderman as they are finished (like the two they have now). Even if they can get them finished before the end of summer, they will just stay quite about it. Then once the Jimmy replacement is finished, they will promote them both being done, thus making people think there are TWO new things to check out at the parks eventhough spiderman will have been done for awhile. I really can't see updating the screens to take almost a whole another year to finish considering two of them have already been finished.

It isn't updating the screens that will take long, they are redoing then entire film. So all new graphics, new things in the film, etc.

Universal holds the rights in perpetuity until they don't want them anymore. They just pay the royalties to disney now.

It is HILARIOUS. Make sure youre in the mood for it though.. makes all the difference. Just sayin, at 2 AM it is the funniest thing in the world!
