new American Girl historical doll

I just found out there is a new American Girl historical girl coming out I think May 31st. From the info I've seen her name is Rebecca and her story takes place in New York City in 1914. I believe either she or her family comes from Russia and they are a Jewish family. I think she has light brown hair and hazel eyes. There will be a minidoll as well. Rebecca has a friend named Ana but I don't know if there will be an Ana doll.

My dd9 is excited. My mother's name is Rebecca. Her mother comes from Russia and we are Jewish. Dh happened to grow up in Manhatten though no where near 1914. I don't know about the doll but I do plan on getting dd the books.

The Barnes and Noble website has summaries and pictures of the books, plus a picture of the doll itself (it's under mini doll but the picture is of the 18 inch doll). She lives on the Lower East Side in 1914. The doll is very pretty, a combination of the previous Dolls of the Year Marisol and Mia.
If your daughter likes her story she might also like the All-of-a-Kind Family series too. Loved those books as a kid.
I'm curious to see her accessories. I hope a Shabbat set is available.

I loved All of a Kind Family. So far dd has only read the first one. I'm hoping they have something other than the Hanukkah accessory set that has been around for years.

Thanks for the heads up. I knew a new doll was coming out and was looking forward to seeing it. My dd's birthday is in June, I'd love if I could get it but keep her from hearing about the new doll before then.

I was wondering if they would come out with a new historical doll after retiring Samantha.

At least this one from 1914 doesn't make me feel old like the 1970s "Historical" Julie doll did.
