New Alcohol Policy - How is it playing out at Embarkation?

Does anyone know what the draft beer is in the Disney ships? Are there any microbrews?

My buddy was on in Sept and they stepped up their bottle/can selection, they got some Bells two Hearted, Mission, Castaway IPA and the local FL Microbrew (Cigar City)--their Jai Alai is a solid IPA (they have it on board)

do they still sell Beer by the case onboard? Something like 24 for the price of 20..

i think the inconsistencies at embarkation happen because it's port authority doing the security checks (bag checks, etc) vs DCL.. But at port, it is DCL crew.

We are going 12/31 on dream out of PC- and will just play ignorant. They don't trash it... Just store it, correct?

They also have Cigar City Invasion, or did today.

We got on the ship in Galveston with 2 six packs of beer and 3 bottles of wine. There were no DCL people at the security check point just the Galveston port security. They didn't seem to give a rats **** or maybe they just weren't clear on the policy they just knew it was limited to beer and wine. My dh and I got separated and I went through alone with all the beer and wine so I was way over the limit. My dh was bummed he didn't just walk on with a case of beer. I think it really depends on the port. I'm sure at PC the alcohol natzi patrol are really on top of things.

I didn't see a single person stopped, nor did I see anybody from DCL to the side waiting to inspect alcohol. I have a feeling this is going to become a "wink and a nod" kind of thing because of the backlash.

And it's when people repeatedly don't play by the rules and disregard them, that's when Disney has to step up and make things more stringent and tighter because people think the rules only apply to others and not to them.... :(

If Disney would get control of their CMs and cause rulebreakers to NEVER get away with it, they wouldn't have to "take their ball away" so to speak. The weak link, IMO, with sooo many of the more stringent Disney polices, is the CMs. All they have to do have their CMs follow the rules.
