New Al Lutz Update: Barack Obama to Join Abe?

Al Lutz posted his update last Tuesday (6 days ago) and I just got to it today due to more important family priorities. I did not see anyone mention it so I will provide a summary and link here.

The Obama addition has been pretty soundly denied by Disney, though...but of course it could just be semantics on their part.

Hall of Presidents was always a favorite of mine at WDW, and I was sad that it was closed when I was there recently for it's refurb, and new-president addition. I like the idea of updating the Mr. Lincoln attraction to more like the HOP, although I really enjoyed the most recent version of the attraction. Yes, I was one of the few who actually went on it! DD and Lincoln share a birthday, so we always made it a point to visit him while we are at DL for her birthday. I would think they could use the same animatronic figure and speech that Obama will have at HOP in WDW.

Obama's going to WDW in Hall of Presidents...not DL. Maybe this is wishful thinking on Al Lutz's part.

That doesn't make sense because he isn't even president yet. We don't know how he will be. It just seems too early.

Hall of Presidents has all the Presidents in it. The current President is featured, and has a speech. Nothing new because it's Obama, other than it seems Al Lutz is speculating that the new Lincoln attraction will kind of be a mix of the former Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, and the current Hall of Presidents. HOP is also down for a major refurb, it will be interesting to see how they change it when it reopens later in 2009.
