New AK Restaurant

I remember reading that a new restaurant would be opening at AK....When is this expected to happen?

yak & yeti. sometime this year. they say it's meant to open in summer but many seem to think later is more likely to be the case

I made a change to my Sept. ADR's this week and I asked about the new AK TS restaurant. The CM told me that they're hearing that the new place won't be opening until spring 2008. However, she did say that they were aware that it had been reported on the DIS Boards that the opening date may be summer 2007. Her suggestion was that I keep a watch on any breaking news about it and call back if I see it's got a firm opening date. She said that they were not taking reservations at this time.

When I was there in mid-march, the walls were just beginning to go up and I posted here that I thought it would be a stretch that it would be open by mid-summer, but I was ppo-poo'ed by other members of the board. I was again down there two weeks ago and while they have made progress, I still feel that mid-summer is not doable. I would think Fall would be do-able, depending on if it is going to more of a straigth restaurant as opposed to a Rainforrest Cafe type place.

Wow! That's so exciting! Is it a sit-down or a counter-service? And I love the name. The Yak and Yeti. lol. I'm assuming it's going to be nearish Mt. Everest?

Allearsnet.com reports that the restuarants name is Ying & Yeti..I personally like the Yak & Yeti better

They sure are taking their time in getting it up and running. What about the new restaurant in DD? When is it scheduled to be finished?

I heard they were changing the name to "Copperfield Magic Underground."

The name is Ying & Yak. Allearsnet.com says it is supposed to be opening in Summer 2007. Also says that it will be both a TS and CS. And it will also have a gift shop.
