New AK Opening

Just found out there is a new opening show at Animal Kingdom called "Let the Adventure Begin".

"Beginning 10/7 the turnstiles will open 20 minutes before official opening time, and guests will be free to explore the Oasis area (the entrance pathways) as far as the Tree of Life. Then five minutes before opening, Mickey and Minnie arrive in front of the tree atop a safari truck. They interact with the guests and welcome everyone to the park. Finally they drive off to Africa and invite the guests to follow as their adventure begins."

... and you've got woo-hoo! Now if I can just get myself there early enough to see this! You know, aside from when I was attending the media festivities surrounding the opening of Disney's California Adventure, I don't know that I've ever actually gotten to a park for Early Entry. Oh, sure, I always have the best of intentions, but... well, it IS vacation...

Just wondering if anyone has done this yet?

I have heard the crowds have been heavy getting into AK and wondered if this has helped or not.

Not sure if it is helping for the regular 9am opening....but....
We were there for EE on 10/10 and it was absolutely STUPID trying to get in even at 8am!!
We arrived just before 8 and the crowds to get in were still ridiculous!!!
Then by time we made it back to the Safari by 8:20 (we headed straight back, did not stop at the Oasis), the safari was already up to a 25 minute posted wait time. But looked a lot longer.

The only other thing open for EE was the "tough to be a bug".

So we will NEVER do EE at AK again unless they decide to open other areas of the park!!

We had to wait til after 8:35 to get a FP for the safari which then had a return time of 9:55.
And we then had to wait for the rope drop for Dino-land at 9:00.

What a wasted hour!!!!

I totally agree about the EE options at AK. Last June we went and did Safari and then wanted to do Rafiki's Planet Watch so my DS5 could meet Stanley, which was supposed to be EE, but they had ropes up and said it would not be open during EE that day.
So, we hiked all the way back to do TTBAB and then caught a few characters.

I really wish they would open Dino Land for EE so we could get my DS5 onto PW and TS before crowds get rough.

Does anyone know if the park opens 20 minutes early for the ee days too. so a 8 am EE is really 7:40???
