I just made my ADRs for my April 19th trip and I love the new system. This is the first time, EVER, that I got all the ADRs I wanted. I liked the fact that you have to provide you reservation confirmation number in order to get to book for your whole stay. Keep's people from making those phantom ADRs.

I'm curious to get everyone else's opinions:cool1: .

Can't wait until my 90 day window opens so I can give it a try, but I have to wait until the end of March. We are currently trying to firm up our itinerary so we can plan the days and locations for our ADRs. Glad you had a good experience.....that is encouraging for when I get the chance.

i like 90 days better than 180... but i was not required to give a reservation confirmation number in order to book my ADRs... nor was my friend who is staying offsite...

Im so glad it worked out for you! :cool1: Were you able to make your ADRs for your entire stay, even though the other dates were more than 90 days out? I was wondering if that had changed with the new system... I am counting the days until I can make mine! (still a loooooong way out.. :sad2: )

How will this work for people staying off-site. We own a timeshare at Orange Lake Country Club and always stay there. Do those that stay off-site make their ressies less than 90 days out?
Thank you for your help.

You do NOT need a reservation number in order to book your dining reservations. You never had needed on in the past and I highly doubt you will have to have one to book in the future. Otherwise, off site people and locals would never be able to book dining reservations. If you are not staying on Disney property, or even if you are but haven't made your resort reservations, all you need to do is provide a telephone number. In the past ten years of steady Disney trips, I have stayed onsite and off site. I have never given a reservation number even if I am staying onsite. I only give my telephone number as it makes it easier for me to remember where I can direct a Cast Member to look should I forget anything about my dining reservations.

Once again - you do NOT need a Disney reservation number to book dining reservations. The only exception is if you are using the 90 + 10 days (yes, the extra ten days still applies). Then you will need to prove you are staying onsite and can make your dining reservations with one phone call.

If you are off site, all other rules apply just like they would if you were staying onsite.

I called yesterday by mistake thinking that it was 90 days for me. The CM booked my first adr and then said he needed my reservation number. When I gave it to him he said the system wouldn't take it and we figure out I was at 91 days. I was told to call back today - which I did. When I called today I booked an adr for the first night, so 90 days out, obviously no ressie needed. She did ask me if I was staying onsite and if I had my reservation number, which I did but she didn't ask for. Then she booked another for me 4 days later, so 94 days from now, but she never got the hotel reservation number from me. I was hoping after yesterday that the computer would require it to keep things fair, but right now it looks spotty.

Glad to hear that you were able to make beyond the 90 day mark. I am only a few weeks away from the 90 day mark.

What is the 90 days + 10, thing?

We are staying on site, but have a couple months before we'll be able to make our reservations, we didn't have a problem last year getting the ADRs we wanted at 180 days out, so hopefully we won't have a problem this year either.

It means that on the 90th day before the first day of your reservation you can make ADRs for the first 10 days of you onsite stay. So on the 90th day before you arrive you can actually make an ADR that is 100 days out. If you are not staying onsite then you must call every day that is 90 days out from the ADR. If you are staying longer than 10 days (say 14 days) then you will need to call again 4 days later to again be in your 90 +10 period to make ADRs for the rest of your stay. It used to be 180+10.

I am really trying to understand this since I will be there next Easter but staying at our timeshare at Orange Lake.

If I am staying off-site, I cannot make all my ressies in one shot? Correct? This would be a benefit for on-site guests.
My being off-site, I will still get to make my ressies, but I need to call each day for what I want at the 90 day mark?

Is above correct?
Thank you.

I just booked a ton of dining at the 90 mark and was not asked a thing about check in date, or for the ressie number at all. After they looked, they did ask the usual, like check in and resort, but never asked for any proof of a reservation at all.

I guess because the system is still new, they are working everything out. I was told that I needed to provide my confirmation number, because that is the only way they can book outside the 90 day window.

That is correct.

We booked through AAA and so don't have a reservation #. Does anyone know what # I should use if asked? It looks like my confirmation paperwork from Disney travel through AAA has a client file #. Would that suffice?

I called yesterday and got all my ADRS too! for 4/20-4/28...we got Le Cellier and Cali Grill for the times we wanted YAY! I was asked for my confirmation number up front, I guess it's hit or miss....but I do believe this is the new policy, at least thats what the CM I got said.

Yesterday was 90 for me and I got ALL the reservations I wanted for the EXACT time I requested!! My list included Ohana, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Hollywood and Vine, Le Cellier, 50s Prime Time.

I was upset this afternoon that I didn't book Tutto Italia so I called and got the exact time I requested!!

Needless to say I am VERY pleased with the new system:thumbsup2
...and hungry after thinking about all that food:rotfl: (dissapears to the Food Porn thread for the rest of the night...shhh!:lmao: )

I had no problem making my ressies for my upcoming April trip. I didnt' have my reservation number so I had to call back every day for 7 days to get all of my choices. I guess it depends on the CM making them for you. All in all, I got everything I wanted. I'm very happy. :)

Hi everyone! This is my first time not using a travel agent. I know there is someplace on line that counts down to the day you can book your ADR's can anyone help me find that? I know before when I tried I was a day ahead of being able to make them. Thank you for your help!:)
