Disney just announced that tomorrow morning on Good Morning America, they will have more announcements about the 50th.

Yeah, and a long segment on picking 50 people to get a free Disney trip and Disney+ for a year (woohoo). I was underwhelmed.

Honestly, a little lame. New Epcot show everyone knew was coming. Ratatouille, everyone knew was coming, cute little kite show for AK and skins on buildings to encourage people to shop more. Not really very heavy on actual experiences.

I dunno. We got an exact date for Harmonious plus we learned that the Magic Kingdom rumors are a whole new show- AND an exact premier date. Plus a show at AK? That's not bad. Not earth shattering, but like I said- B+.

Personally, I find this to be HUGE news. When Disney does something, they do it right. Remember how bummed we all were when WISHES ended? And then HEA happened and we were like....whoa!

They arent going to skimp on the 50th Anniversary fireworks show, you can bet on that. It's going to be mind blowing.

Will they update HEA while it's away to have more projections on return? Don't think they'll just use 'Enchantments' projections for 1 year, when they can be incorporated to HEA.

The 50th is looking much better.
Originally, when they released the initial information, it really didn't seem that special.
Now that they are releasing more, excited to go back this fall.
Wonder how much more is still coming?

They'll test fireworks shows after the parks close. I wouldn't count on anything launching early.

They've been doing fairly regular tests of Harmonious around midnight since the start of the month, and the fireworks at least are very much visible from Crescent Lake. I saw the first full pyro test from my balcony at Yacht Club.

I'm curious if they will give our free ears to guests at MK on 10/1 as they did at Disneyland on the 50th in '05. I find it curious that in the concept art of the fireworks show at MK, people are wearing the same ears. They almost look like the synchronized light-up ones from a few years back. Hmmmm.

I just found out that I will definitely be there for the big day. I am beyond thrilled. When DL had their 60th, they encouraged people to dress like opening day. Would be fun for MK to do a '71 themed dress event!
