We are headed to the Polynesian next May. I'm looking for comments about the Neverland Club. DD 8yrs old, DS 5yrs old at time of trip. Thanks.

if you listen to the Pod Cast- I believe it's the Nov 19th or Nov. 20th Show has a review by a 9 year old, Jack and his mom.
It's really worth listening to.

DD loved the Neverland Club but she was 6, when she was 7 she went to the Beach club and now prefers that one. If they have never been and dont know they each have diff stuff they will be fine. DD found all the great video games at the beach club and now that is her favorite one!

My kids have been to the Neverland Club a number of times. They love it. They've also been to the Sandcastle Club at the BC and Simba's Clubhouse at AKL. They loved those too.

It is true that each are a bit different but nothing major. They all have games, crafts, toys, dress-up, video games, movies, etc.

Our kids have always wanted to stay when we've gone to pick them up, no matter how long they'd been there. It is now an expected activity and we work it into our schedule. DH and I don't mind, we get a quiet leisurely dinner at a 'grown-up' restaurant.

The neverland Club is also a great way for you and your spouse to have an intimate moment at disney....I'm going to the Poly in May too.....:goofy: Shaka

Hi, Also going in May:banana: but to the YC. Does anyone know how far in advance you have to book this and can you book it just a day or two out? I'm thinking this would be a great way for DH & me to have a break and get dinner while we send DS#1 on a limited adventure around Epcot. Or are the private babysitters better? I read somewhere that they will take the kids into the parks or to the boardwalk? Is that correct?

My 5 year old daughter LOVED the Neverland Club and she is usually very hesitant about babysitters/being away from me. They were so great she didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up! She did many craft activities, many games and the child/castmember ratio was so low that she practically had one on one attention all night. She loved it! I wouldn't hesitate to put her in again and she frequently asks to go back. It is expensive ($11 per hour) but for a night alone I thought it was well worth it. Oh, and they fed her a meal that she really liked-she got to order whatever she wanted from the kids menu at Captain Cooks I believe!
If you have any other questions just ask!
:goodvibes

What is the Neverland club? Like a babysitter at WDW? Can you use this no matter what resort you stay at? What is the minimum age?

Yes, the Neverland Club at the Polynesian is childcare. You do not have to be staying at the resort. Minimum age is 4yrs and potty trained. It is $11/hr (or $11.25 at Simba's Clubhouse) for a minumum of 2hrs. If your child arrives early enough they will feed them dinner, you make their selection when you check them in.

There are other clubs at other resorts. You can get more info here:
