Hey Everyone! I am new to the boards and planning an April trip for my DD6 and my DH (DS-1 will be staying with Grandma, I don't think he would get much out of it and it is my daughter's first visit)

DH and I are big ride people, we love em, my daughter... not so much so I arranged two nights for her at Neverland Club but I can't seem to find any reviews for it. Has anyone used it? What do they do? Are there activites or is it just a free for all? Do they divide them by ages or are the five year olds and ten year olds all mixed together?

My other main concern is DD crashes around 8. Is there a place for them to sleep? Or at least rest?

I really wish there was more info out there but I can't seem to find any.

First, :welcome: to the boards!

My kids have been to the Neverland Club a few times in the past 2 yrs. They LOVE it! Here is a link to the info on Allears.net, the reviews are a bit old though http://allearsnet.com/pl/childfaq.htm .

The play/club area is separated from the check-in area and parents are not allowed inside the club. I think they do have it open earlier in the afternoon if you want to see it. Our DD6 LOVES the place, she said you are not divided into age groups and you can pick and choose your activities but there are a lot of CMs around to help/supervise. DD10 does think they have pillows and blankets and also stuffed animals to curl up with.

They've come home with cute crafts, played Playstation, dress-up, watched a movie and had dinner and a snack. They always want to stay when we get there to pick them up. It has become a standard part of our vaca now to include at least one night at a Club. They've been to the Sandcastle Club at the Beach Club too and are looking forward to trying Simba's Clubhouse at AKL when we stay there.

Any other questions let me know.

We have reservations for our DD6 in April at Neverland club... we've never been, but DH and I want some quality time together. :)

We're hoping our daughter will enjoy the crafts and dress up. I've heard there is an area with rest things as well. You may be surprised... when your DD gets playing, she may not crash at 8:00 but play with peers a bit longer. Who knows, maybe we'll be there the same night! :)

Welcome!

We wented out the Neverland Club for our (big group) kids' 5th birthday party last year. It was a lot of fun, even for the parents. They have toys, dress up, arcade, movies, crafts. My kids want to go back!

Thank you so much for the info! I really am glad to hear that your kids enjoyed it so much. I don't want to feel guilty for having a few hours of alone time with DH but if I thought she would have a bad time it would be hard to feel anything else. The dress up and craft part seems right up her alley. :cutie:

Also good to hear that they have something for her if she does need to rest\chill. I think this trip is going to make her very very tired. She does Competition Dance and Gymnastics but still all the walking I am sure will wear her out. I really need to get her used to walking that much or DH will have to lug her everywhere. :)

Thanks again

April, too! Hehe. Everyone is going in April. I really hope she does crash. Otherwise the next morning will not be fun. ;) But you are probably right, other kids and she will just keep going!

Don't rule out a stroller rented if needed to keep her (and you) happy and make this a better vacation for everyone. The strollers are huge and would fit a 6 year old fine and you will see much older kids in them. I tried to talk my then 8 year old into using one during a late nite at epcot but he would not hear to it.:rolleyes1 .

See I had never thought about a stroller for her, she is very tall. She looks 7-8 years old but I guess I should keep an open mind, and it beats DH carrying her everywhere.
