I just booked the Neverland Club for my kids for an upcoming visit, but now I'm second guessing this decision. My son, age 4, has a severe peanut/ tree nut allergy. I have never left him before on vacation. Does anyone know what food is served, how it is distributed to kids, etc? It just says "snacks" and "dinner", CM didn't have any extra info either.
I'm hoping someone else has encountered this same issue. My husband and I would love a night together, but I don't want to be worried the whole time. Thanks for any help!

PA allergy parent here. Did a little research. They serve for dinner: burgers, or c nuggets, or grilled cheese, or turkey and cheese with grapes, carrots or apple sauce.dessert is pudding or jello. Snack later is goldfish and a juice box.

I would for sure ask if staff is trained in epi pens. It is included as part of any first-aid class so I would think maybe so?????

Maybe only consider dinner at the same resort?????

I do not think I could do it (DGS is also 4) but maybe this will help a little.

Thank you for your response! I'm still leary, but your information calms my mind. Atleast they're not doling out "uncrustables" for snacks. We have reservations at the GF for dinner, but maybe changing over to the Poly for dinner is a good compromise too.
At 4 he's very aware of his allergy, but obviously its difficult to trust strangers with something so potentially severe. We always travel with 2 epi-pens, so hopefully I can find out before hand about the caregivers training. Thanks again for the info

Just looked and the club at the GF DOES serve Peanut butter and Jelly so that would not work. Looks like the polly is the only one that does not list P&J so you might need to check to be sure they really do not serve it.

I was starting to feel a little more comfortable with the allergies till DGS recently and unexpectedly reacted to sesame. Sorta put me back on the edge again!!

DGS does attend preschool (in a peanut"free":confused:school) and I trust the teachers there to protect him sooooooo..........
